for an updated 1.5 version
It used to be that the game would invoke a TryDesignate (or something) function for each cell it determined needs to be designated. The original mod subverts that function and invokes TryDesignate based on its own calculation, instead of the original logic.
The new logic first calculates the TileRect that needs designating, then iterates over the TileRect. A TileRect is strictly a rectangle, and so can't be bent into a corner shape or a hollow rectangle shape. This logic is used in two places, one place iterates from 0->rect length, the other uses the IEnumerator implementation of TileRect to iterate with foreach.
My transpilers managed to designate a corner/hollow rect, but it doesn't paint the tiles correctly while you drag the cursor, and it doesn't put the dimension numbers in the correct place. I don't understand why.
Please do keep at it
hope my comments
make you happy
So I'd say it's probably safe to use in 1.2, @everyone
I know it's pointless asking to update it, because multiple people have asked and it seems to be useless.
So if anybody out there knows if this breaks the game in 1.2 then that'd be much appreciated!
1) why is this still not in the base game?
2) 1.2 please.
