I like this one more then the others similar mods, due to the building being 3x3 I really dont want to use anything bigger.
So thanks Mlie!

@DrKurnis Some have reported the power-generation being inverted. I have not been able to recreate this. Also, I am not the original author.
DrKurnis 16 apr 2024 om 10:35
Wow...so yeah it consumes 5k power by default. Why would it do this?? I thought it was a bug so I deleted my powerplant. You have to adjust it in the settings to whatever power you want.

Oh well, live and learn

Check out a reworked version based on this mod: Vanometric Generator by Helixien
Mlie  [auteur] 16 apr 2023 om 12:47
@Emu™ Works in my tests at least
Mlie  [auteur] 11 apr 2023 om 13:51
@Dr. Quackers M.D. Enter the mod-settings and set it to the desired value
Dr. Quackers M.D. 11 apr 2023 om 13:50
I dont understand what you mean by update my mod settings?
Mlie  [auteur] 10 apr 2023 om 22:01
@Dr. Quackers M.D. Read my comment just before yours. It can help to read before posting comments
Dr. Quackers M.D. 10 apr 2023 om 21:56
Yep consumes 5 K power now.....
Mlie  [auteur] 7 mrt 2023 om 0:33
@Therus Update your mod-settings
Therus 7 mrt 2023 om 0:12
In my game they're consuming 5k power now too, really weird

@slugbutt3000 I wish I had read your comment more thoroughly, would have saved me a solid 2 hours of troubleshooting and searching through and editing XMLs when all I had to do was open the Mod Settings window ingame and fix the broken slider.
slugbutt3000 28 jan 2023 om 10:56
I just had the same issue with power draining from these, looks like default setting was -5000 not 5000, this was from install - I had not changed the settings at all. Could have been caused by another mod though I suppose. Easy to fix in mod settings fortunately.
daemonantares 22 jan 2023 om 10:20
Thanks. Whatever caused it I won't know but if it changes again I can swap it back here.
Mlie  [auteur] 22 jan 2023 om 10:16
@daemonantares The mod settings are were all mods settings are.
daemonantares 22 jan 2023 om 10:07
Where do I find the settings, and how could that have possibly happened when I've adjusted nothing between saves?
Mlie  [auteur] 22 jan 2023 om 9:59
@daemonantares Probably an inverted value in the settings. Try setting it again and then load your save
daemonantares 22 jan 2023 om 9:35
From one session to another, from saving last night when all was well to loading to continue now, my 4 power cells don't produce 5K power each, instead they now CONSUME IT.

I have no idea what's changed between these two sessions, or how to fix this as opposed to disconnecting the powercell and hoping they somehow get magically fixed.

IS this somehow intended?
[Zerg03] MrHydralisk 18 jan 2023 om 11:14
Thx for fix and for keeping this mod alive.
Damislego 18 jan 2023 om 11:12
My bad i made the comment just before the mod updated, it works fine now.
Mlie  [auteur] 18 jan 2023 om 11:05
@Damislego It does not in my tests
Damislego 18 jan 2023 om 11:04
Adding on to MrHydralisk's comment the power source is now consuming electricity instead of generating it, even after tweaking the settings
Mlie  [auteur] 18 jan 2023 om 10:59
@[Zerg03] MrHydralisk I see, I missed those. Should work as expected now
[Zerg03] MrHydralisk 17 jan 2023 om 17:06
Value itself now changing correctly with settings value. But seems like it made - and + to invert, so now with + settings value go down up to -20K. Slider itself seems to work fine, so my guess is, that buttons missing invertion of settings value, like the one for slider value.
Mlie  [auteur] 17 jan 2023 om 12:25
@[Zerg03] MrHydralisk Should be fixed now
[Zerg03] MrHydralisk 4 jan 2023 om 10:03
In 1.4 ver. settings produced power increasing by setting "poweroutput" (each time you choose new value), instead of assigning it as new value for "basePowerConsumtion".
Mlie  [auteur] 2 mei 2022 om 0:14
@Volg Should be fixed now
Volg 1 mei 2022 om 23:59
So i found a mod manager to assist in ensuring that my mods are always up to date. but this mod is reporting an error that the mod version can't be checked as the location is invalid. the mod manager in question is the one made by "Fluffy"
CombatWombat 29 dec 2021 om 18:53
Tynan has the right to use any mod made for rimworld however he wants, the concept of him stealing mods makes no sense, he owns them all.
Legion 25 apr 2021 om 10:36
Official (vanilla version) is made with compatibility out of the box, unlike mods that can require patches or inane dependencies.

That said, does no one remember the thread Tynan had going where he specifically asked the community what mods they want implemented as vanilla? Or does everyone think that Tynan merely stumbles across popular things and steals them? Nevermind the praise he's given certain mods that have showed on Reddit and has discussed adding into vanilla (with the mod author, you mooks).
Daiki Naruse 26 sep 2020 om 21:23
Official version of many things are dumb if my honest opinion, that's why Rimworld is just a dry sex experience without mods...
Cat Burglar 11 sep 2020 om 15:15
Very interesting. I am wondering if there isn't some truth to the whispers of Tynan stealing mod content. Many of the mods I use have been made redundant with the royalty DLC, and the developers quit working on them. It is a shame, because I am never going to buy the DLC.
Mati Bot 18 apr 2020 om 16:46
@Mlie (Idk if I'm tagging you right). Yeah, apparently 1.1 or Royalty released a new item that is lore-wise the same as the one that drops in your mod, but it's not related code-wise since this mod came first:

https://rimworldwiki.com/wiki/Unstable_power_cell

It's kind of funny that they both look and are called similar.
This item "powers" some mech clusters and can be retrieved for a free 400W power source that can blow up if you sneeze too hard over them.

It'd be cool if there was a way to integrate this item into this mod, or change this mod so there's a clear difference between the two items. I don't know how you operate on your mod resurrections, tough, so I totally understand if you leave it as it is. Hopefully someone can pick it up.
Mlie  [auteur] 16 apr 2020 om 23:30
@Mati Bot Havent tried it, but please try and report back if it needs a fix and ill take a look at it.
Mati Bot 16 apr 2020 om 18:21
Hi! Does this mod work with the Unstable Power Cells added with the Royalty DLC (They may be part of 1.1 too, I'm not sure)? If not, do you plan to make it so?
UNHOLY GH0ST 2 apr 2020 om 14:38
Ok, Thank you Very much. I need to mass produce Pandora's boxes! Raids are scarce....
Mlie  [auteur] 1 apr 2020 om 23:21
@Ghost If you look in the description of the mod-collection there is a link to our todo-list. Also there is an invite to my discord server in this mods description.
The loot-boxes mod is already on the list.

Living Joker 5 mrt 2020 om 18:48
Bear my children you wonderful person. Thought about tinkering with it to maybe have these as a drop from mechanoid clusters on occasion? ;)
