Greetings sire, I think you may have noticed I made a L4D swarm marine pack, which was based on what the base characters are, but considering I can make a version that uses your voice pack already in with characters from here, mind you negotiate something that could work out with you? I can bet people will like it.

Amazing mod. Love the way the characters interact with each other, and how the phrases adapt to the gameplay. Particularly love Nick's "Candy Asses" taunt, and Francis screaming when he gets set on fire. Priceless XD

amazing first impression with these character potraits honestly, especially since this is coming from a mod. and that 4 of the potraits are very veeerry good. Came from the L4D2 workshop after noticing a mod utilizing "alien swarm styled potraits", had a feeling its nabbed from a published mod for Reactive Drop

Did they actually add new lines? I thought they just made unused lines already in the game files useable. Either way I do plan on checking out if there's anything new.

Sorry for the lack of updates on this project, I haven't worked on it in quite awhile but I plan on coming back to review and do a quality polish on everything that's done.

Seeing as how Valve added back in the unused voicelines thanks to the new "Last Stand" update, maybe try having a listen to them?

Dont change it! Its very very good and the choices are logical. It was the devs choice back in 2009 to make Zoey and Rochelle the "along for the ride", supportive type. They really do fall naturally into the medic role, it has nothing to do with their gender and everything with their personality and background. Plus, I cannot see any of the other survivors being any other role, their backgrounds and personalities founded by the l4d devs literally lands them square in the roles chosen here. To me this is how I wouldve set it up, having it different would be awkward.

Because of all of that Zoey and Rochelle are the result of running out of roles to fit them into. Sadly I agree it's unfitting for them both but this was the best team setup I could think of keeping their backstories and playstyles into account. This goes with writing their bio in this mod aswell.

That said I cannot simply "Change a survivors role" because that would require me to remake every voiceline all over again just to swap them over. It's an insane amount of work for what seems like a simple swap.

If possible I do however want to adjust the marines sizes to fit the survivors more. It hurts seeing Francis as the smallest marine when he's actually the 2nd tallest survivor of the eight.

I briefly explained it in a now deleted post. How I assigned the survivors was based on two things. Having L4D1 top & L4D2 bottom instead of jumbled around and assigning survivor based on their role and stats.

-Bill and Coach are leaders of their respective survivor groups. So I gave them officers because they buff and support their teammates around them.
-Francis and Nick are criminals and troublemakers when it comes to the law. It's a stretch but it felt more fitting to have them on heavy weapons compared to everyone else based on that backstory detail alone.
-Louis and Ellis were tricky. Louis is perfect for technician giving his IT office busywork backstory. However I knew Ellis would also be a tech but didn't know how to make sense of it until I realized he's more effective with both engineering and sentries compared to Louis. Which was also fitting given Ellis backstory as a mechanic.

Sorry for not responding sooner about the subtitles question, but this is also something I'm trying to figure out myself. A reactive drop dev did give me some pointers on how to do this however I've been holding off until I'm officially done with everyone's voicelines. As far as I know it is possible.

nice mod i bought l4d in 2018 it plays kinda well but this game play so good for my laptop its like that world war z game cant play it i have it for disk on ps4 but my p4 wont acept disks for some reason
