I don't suppose there's a chance we'll ever see an .INI option to have them require electricity, is there? Having them work without supplying power just feels wrong to me.
we just started a Genesis server and have the mod installed, but when I try to place the 2.0 bug zapper, it shows me the building preview, but never places the structure...
Have tried several things in the server settings, and reinstalling the mod, but nothing helped.
Any ideas? this is really a must-have for the swamp!
PS: handheld bug zapper works fine, also crafting and learning the engrams.

I have the same problem with this mod. After restarting the server a have to replace the Zapper to start working again.
After replacing the Zapper he works fine
(even tried adding Ichthyornis_Character_BP_C=True to the ini zap list)

No complaints from me just would have liked what i mentioned but however you like it is good enough for me
You can even add pegos and sea gulls to the zapper list, if you wish. :D

But another idea just comes to my mind. What if the zappers can be fueled with thatch? Easy to come by. Just an idea. But maybe those things are solar powered, so no need to fuel them up. ;) Option, options... :D
I'm fine with how they are now and I totally agree on the aspect of making them available very soon in the game, because the lower level you are the more annoying those swarms.
sorry if I sounded angry there it's just that I HATE those things just as much as I hate Pego's & seagull's (just hope that the dev's make it so that we can get rid of the swarms for good cause I gaurentee that EVERYONE will be removing the swarms from their world's/servers)
