thx for the mod

GameUserSettings are for everyone. Playing singleplayer is essentially a local server. If you want to change the defaults on a server, you need to change gus.ini on the server. If you want to change it for singleplayer, change it locally.

For steam: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\ARK\ShooterGame\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor\GameUserSettings.ini

The instructions are for GameUserSettings.ini for servers, and I play on singleplayer worlds. I think I found it, but I could not edit it and I dont think any mods changed it

ASM caches search results. It probably hasn't updated to newer released mods. ASM has lots of little quirks.
FoX 8. mar. 2020 kl. 1:47
A wonderfully simple and useful mod! Although my ASM has problems remembering the mod for some reason and removes it every time on restart. Also doesn't seem to be able to locate the mod name via Steam workshop from the Mod ID (which may be the reason)
Quellcrest  [ophavsmand] 7. mar. 2020 kl. 19:08
Sorry about that. Should be good now.
Jimbodiah 7. mar. 2020 kl. 18:27
CTDs, even with a complete wipe
Quellcrest  [ophavsmand] 7. mar. 2020 kl. 18:14
Clean install the mod, preferably on both server and client. Steam has a fun habit of corrupting files.
The Rickest Rick 7. mar. 2020 kl. 17:59
hey so only mod that updated was this and i got a game crash on connection and so did my wife ... server seems to run but my client crashes on load?

GameUserSettings.ini

Place the config at the bottom of the file, including [BloodExtractorPlus]. If you're playing on a server, the server needs to do this, not the users.

Directions to GameUserSettings.ini can be found here: https://ark.gamepedia.com/Server_Configuration
raptorguy576 4. mar. 2020 kl. 18:55
Where do i find the Ini config files?
Quellcrest  [ophavsmand] 2. mar. 2020 kl. 7:08
The damage done is largely irrelevant imo. No ones going to be pumping out blood bags while running for their lives, so they're going heal rather quick regardless.

If you feel it's too cheaty, compensate by tweaking the amount of bags or the cooldown.
TyrantLyzardKyng 1. mar. 2020 kl. 23:34
Yup... working perfectly. lol. Feel like an idiot cuz I solved it so quickly after asking. But thank you for the mod. It's a perfect 'quick fix' for how ridiculous the Bog Spiders are. Fun to have, but like 3000 blood packs for a lvl 300 creature? Who is gonna sit there for hours just hitting 'E' every 5 seconds in vanilla lol? Personally, I make it somewhat more balanced imo... 25 blood backs every 1 second. Is it possible you could add an ini setting for how much blood it drains? Doesn't really make it difficult when you have 2000 health, but if it drained 100 health each time a syringe is used then it might feel less cheaty.
TyrantLyzardKyng 1. mar. 2020 kl. 19:39
Did all that. Even tried another mod that adds a converter for Meat to Blood Packs. That one worked fine. Don't use ASM. But what did work (and is a major PITA for me) was doing a backup of my saves/ini's, verifying Ark, then letting it update/download whatever it wanted, then replacing the new inis and saves with the backed up ones.. and finally adding the mod to the load list. Just got it done and it just showed up lik 2 secs ago when I launched the game lol.
TyrantLyzardKyng 1. mar. 2020 kl. 19:14
For whatever reason I CAN NOT get this to show up in my mods list. (I am adding the correct ID# manually to my mod list btw). I looked in the Ark/Content/Mods folder and Ark just won't install it no matter what I do. And yes, it is in the workshop folder, just not the Mods folder (Ark won't install it after launching the game). Installs everything else new just fine.

@BSheep87 I just ran the update and this mod is still working fine as intended. Make sure if you already had the items crafted previously that you drop those ones and create new ones.
BSheep87 1. mar. 2020 kl. 3:37
unfortunately this mod has no function it is displayed but in-game no change it does not replace the standard item
Quellcrest  [ophavsmand] 29. feb. 2020 kl. 20:20
It's a remap. It replaces the vanilla one with this one.
Big Jimmy 29. feb. 2020 kl. 19:53
Does this mod replace the default blood extraction tool? Or is it only able to be spawned in?
Quellcrest  [ophavsmand] 29. feb. 2020 kl. 19:33
@Stawos There you go. Hotbar-able :)
Quellcrest  [ophavsmand] 29. feb. 2020 kl. 14:36
Apparently not. Could have sworn I enabled that...

Later tonight I'll probably fix that.
Stawos 29. feb. 2020 kl. 13:23
Can it be placed on hotbar?
Ridley 29. feb. 2020 kl. 9:53
is ganz cool
Firesolved 28. feb. 2020 kl. 18:54
Thanks so much for the INI update. Got my server set up perfectly! You're a lifesaver.
Quellcrest  [ophavsmand] 28. feb. 2020 kl. 18:07
All mod settings go in gameusersettings.ini

Go to the bottom of the page and add it there.
Cross 28. feb. 2020 kl. 17:58
Do the settings go in Game.ini or GameUserSettings.ini?
Quellcrest  [ophavsmand] 28. feb. 2020 kl. 17:14
Nope. Strictly a bonus. -25hp and you get as many bags as you have configured.

The main reason behind this is that blood bags are pretty crap. You need to damage yourself in order to get them, so you have to plan ahead. They're worse than health potions. They're almost worse than just having food. BUT, blood stalkers need crap loads of them.

If you think it's taking off too much health, just increase the quantity of bags you get to compensate. Too little health, lower the amount of bags you get.

I doubt I'll add more options.
Dat Swamp Boi 28. feb. 2020 kl. 16:35
Does adding the bonus bags drain health for each of the additional bags? If not, I think that would be an interesting option to add in for balancing!
Firesolved 28. feb. 2020 kl. 14:04
Just for balancing, it will really help. I can now configure it to match closer to my 5x taming rates. Thanks so much for doing that. :)
Quellcrest  [ophavsmand] 28. feb. 2020 kl. 13:58
@Firesolved There you go. I don't see it as really necessary, but whatever :)
Firesolved 28. feb. 2020 kl. 13:02
Ohhh sorry! I didn't see that note below the config (unless it was added after I asked). Would it at all be possible to add an INI option for a delay? I have some people on my server that would love to use this mod, but as it stands I think no delay at all seems a bit too strong. I was essentially getting 45 in less than two seconds on a character with 400 hp.

If there was an INI option for a delay I could customize it to fit better. Just trying to avoid larger tribes being able to overly abuse it.
Quellcrest  [ophavsmand] 28. feb. 2020 kl. 12:16
The ini quantity config is a bonus. So you get 1 + the amount in the config.
Firesolved 28. feb. 2020 kl. 11:41
INI setting doesn't work properly in my testing. I tried to change it to 2 and it still gave me 3, so then I thought perhaps 3 was just the minimum you could go. I changed it to 6 and it was giving me 7 blood packs per use.
bradley112720 28. feb. 2020 kl. 11:00
ya bloodstalkers are easier to get now because a 150 on normal rates takes 3500 blood packs
i drink gasoline 28. feb. 2020 kl. 10:24
I waited 2 days for this XD
Dark 28. feb. 2020 kl. 9:37
not that i use it often; but this is a useful mod to have, espeically when you have 1k health mwahaha
🅵🆇🅸 27. feb. 2020 kl. 19:35
Works great! Thx for this!
