I do hope it gets some polishing though, no offence.
I'm sure it's a ray, because:
It's a chondrichthie for sure, since it's not an ratfish or chimera (holocephali).
The gills are on the bottom, thus not a shark.
It can only be a ray.
After a quick search, I've found it belongs to rajiformes, which is inside batoida, a taxa that regroups ALL rays and skates.
Therefore a ray. Common names such as ray or guitarfish hold no value, as what is a ray or a guitarfish is purelly subjective; I speak both french and portuguese and in those language there's no distinction between ray and skates. It's all called ray.
TLDR;, you can call it what you want as those names are arbitrary.
Bowmouth Guitarfish: This strange carteligious fish is a relative of sharks and rays, and has the traits of both. It gills transport water in an unusual manner, from bottom to bottom, like a ray. However, it still retains pectoral and anal fins. Despite this, it's neither a shark or ray, but a guitarfish.
