Dimitri if you check back here, i figured out what was wrong. they changed how the command to generate the spritesheet was formatted, you just use
ModDevGenerateSpriteUVsForDirectory( "data/enemies_gfx/" )
in the init.lua and it will generate all enemies including your mod, so you just have to remove the enemies from your folder and it'l work nicely.
The generated spritesheet in this mod is actually a bit out of date too, it doesn't include the newer eating/drinking animation in it, i wish i could fix it.
But if its any help, there's a UV SRC image included that is a sort of marker for what it uses to generate the UVs where the different colored dots and semi-transparent lines line up on the original sprite for things like the hands, arms, face, top right and bottom left.
Last i looked the command just wasn't in the source anymore, im not sure what happened. this was like, last year, and i haven't checked in a while so im not super sure.
