Thank you, a brilliant map! I am having a great time playing with Riverboats. Just wish we had better American Steamboats (Showboats) in the game or available mods. But that's not on you.

Truly the most enthralling and beautiful map on the workshop. So much thought was put into every little corner of the map. If you're a fan of american railroading, this map is a must have for you. I've been holding off playing tpf2 until a map truly worthy of my time came along and captured my attention. This one, Is most definitely the one. I can already tell that I'll be replaying this map countless times after conquering it the first time.

Oh, ok... thats a lot of work. Thanks for your work and help

Thanks! I started with -75 to 500 with a water level of 0 to get as close to true as I could. But then I spent quite a bit of time widening and deepening rivers for navigability and continuity. I also had to reproduce many of the barrier islands in the gulf based on real world maps.

Hi, can you give me the heights you used on terrain and water?
I need them, for some private map changes...
By the way... so beautiful map <3

Thanks SpriteBark! Thanks B59! Appreciate the comments and the great video! I've put a decent amount of time into going through the ages on this. I started with food, tools, and oil/gas on the lower Mississippi, got a profitable boat/barge economy going with horse-drawn spur lines, before moving north and building out rail in the late 1800's. You can also get a profitable great lakes shipping company going early on with steel and lumber deliveries to Chicago for machine production.

Anyway, this was a labor of love, and I'm glad to see a positive response on this map so far!

Episode 1 of my Piasa Transport YouTube play through on Transport Fever 2 is now available. This Let’s Play series explores the golden age of steamboats on the Mississippi River. Playing on brick177’s Old Man River map, we will see if we can turn a profit running cargo barges and passenger steamboats on the Mississippi River and its tributaries. With the help of Piasa Transport, St Louis will become the Gateway to the West. Please join me in exploring (and exploiting) this beautiful and complex map.

Beautiful map with lots of effort put into it. This is going to take me a while to conquer! Thanks very much.

Fantastic! I appreciate the comment. I started making this because I wanted a good river network map and then got carried away with making it look scenic too.

Just put my first couple hours into this beautiful map. Thank you so much. It's given me a river transport fever. I'm from Alton - just across the river from St Louis - so I had to add it as a tiny town before playing the map. Great job with the extensive fields - they capture the flavor of that landscape. My first very large map - just in time for sheltering in place.

Hello
Super is a very nice congratulation card.
Would it be possible to have it virgin, ie without city or company?
Or at least without a business.
thank you in advance
