well its not a horror map but still have fun!!

I took a break from gmod for a while, but now I'm back, and I can't wait to play this horror map!

ok in the first pic its the Legion, Kate denson, Dwight Fairfield, Ace Visconti, Feng Min.
Second pic is Ace Visconti again
Third pic is Jane Romero and The first boss from cry of fear (cant remember his name but he comes with the cry of fear models)
Fourth is Kermit the frog
Fifth is Clover, wolf, dragan, and the basic swat team

If you dont mind, it would help narrow down my search with the names.

Yes the first 3 are all from dead by daylight, the 4th is kermit the frog and the 5th are from payday 2

I haven't encountered the jumpscare yet so Im pretty sure its gonna be Cermit (kermit's evil brother.) with a knife just chasing me down the hall

This map is impossible to load via the console because it has spaces in its name.
It would be nice if you could fix it to be more like this.

@Typhus Oh thank god I though there was gonna be 1000 jumpscares that are gonna scare the ♥♥♥♥ out of me including a possessed little girl that scares the ♥♥♥♥ out of me

Glad you liked it! I really don't like jumpscares except for some exceptions. As for optimizing it might just be the map layout isnt too crazy or that big.

This map seriously unnerved me in a very good way with its atmosphere and design. Rarely is there a map that let the environment tells its own story and doesn't rely on cheap jumpscares to make itself worthwhile.

Also, the optimization spanks, my laptop is pretty meh but still managed run this map at 70 FPS

@Rullisi thats a good question I guess to me horror is when you feel like you are in danger. In this map its just a feeling of being uneasy and needing to use your brain to get out but all horror is subjective so what might scare me probably wouldn't scare you.

@IEATTREES lol no its just a story map. theres only 1 jumpscare in it and its kind of obvious when its going to happen

I just wanted to ask something about your comment, If you say it isn't a horror map but rather adventure map dith horror vibe then what do you consider a horror map? At least not one of those maps with cheap completely unrelated to anything umpscares around every single corner. Horror is about feeling scared or horrified, not getting scared by a screamer.

well if it makes it any better the map technically isnt a horror map its an adventure map with a horror vibe if that makes sense

You've already heard it a few times but the voice stuff was too quite also the maze like layout of the map isn't scary its just annoying the story didn't really make sense but that doesn't matter that much. The beginning voice stuff was a lil too long and was full of useless details. Overall the map is just kinda bland with a maze of rooms lacking any detail except for a few props. I'm sure you could do better.

hmm thanks for letting me know! Im going to update the map soon. A friend of mine helped me with the doors closing by themselves which is super annoying if you're holding a key.
Also I didnt even think about it this being a prologue lol Its kind of set up to have a sequal but idk if im going to do that

This feels kind of like the prologue to a bigger game, at least to me...

Also, one of the tables early on can be destroyed, leaving stuff floating.
