Multiple reasons :
- Getting a high quality laser pistol sound effect for free is hard to find, specificaly from han solo
- Porting a scifi gun to l4d2 when you don't do animation reduce the possibility, so you need to go for the more similar.

I hate to be too critical, but this seemed really lazy. First of all the sound is wrong. Second the animations seem to be off the Broomhandle, which I hope was a joke. Why does it have a regular reload animation? The DL-44 does not reload from stripper clips.

Sounds like a tie fighter, i got a Han's blaster sound mod, check my workshop files and use it if you want.

The name is indeed a DL-44, but I think he titled it "Han Solo's Blaster" just so it's easier to find.

I believe it's called the DL-44 but I might be wrong, nice mod though.

Maybe i'll do a separate addon for the hud icon later

All hud icons technically alter scripts and therefore have consistency issues unless you have the above line in an autoexec.cfg

@ghost, i try not to, it cause consistency when joining other friends most of the time
