Yeah I've been using the mod w/ the custom folder method for 2 years now

You’ll need 3D software to adjust the gun.
I didn’t even know you could ADS with the Magnum—I might fix that in the future.

It’s been a while since I worked on it, but I’ve seen people run into issues like reload sounds not working or the model not changing properly. I’m not entirely sure why—it seems like Black Mesa is inconsistent when it comes to handling custom content.

Last time I checked, everything worked fine on my end using the custom folder method.
If you’re still having problems where subscribing to the item doesn’t apply the changes, I’d recommend trying the custom folder method.

Is there any way to adjust the iron sight pos? since the front sight sticks way above where it should be

Any chance we could get this skin with the Blue Shift arms? I'd love to use it for my playthrough.

This model is unbelievably good-looking. I can't take my eyes off the sheer detail in the design, it's ridiculous. The original model looks like a little plastic airsoft gun by comparison.

where is the green iron sight?

I love the model, but the iron sights are a bit weird. Normally the top of the front sight is level with the crosshair, but with this it shows below the crosshair by a noticable amount.

and also is probably becuse you clear the cache or do something like that but i like and work pretty much well with awesome 357 magnum firing sound

lohwan i think its because you have another mod overwriting it but it could not do it so yeah i think thats the reason

Love the model! Only thing though is that there is no sound for when you reload.

@Lt SumBerrez8 fix for you: disable iron sights sticky, or hold your ADS button. Disabling sticky will need you to hold down your ADS key, but it's worth it.

I really like this mod, beautiful textures and reflections. It's a huge improvement over in-game default. However, there is one small issue in that when in ADS the front sight post does not align correctly with the rear sight notch. They should be level with each other to create a proper sight picture, but in this mod the front sight post is higher than the rear sight. This would normally result in an inaccurate and high shot. I understand this is a video game and not real life, it just has me low-key slightly irked adjacent. Also, Idk if it's a glich on my part or how the mod was made, but it is the only thing keeping this from being my favorite weapon mod.

Although this mod is really good, I'm trying to find this model with the original animations. I tried clicking the link to it you posted earlier, but I think it might've been deleted off the workshop

After compiled them, I can say it does not fit really well with IIopn's. If you want to use IIopn's one, you will have to fk the model, which made it looks worse.

There was a black version of this with vanilla animation, but its deleted from the workshop.
If anyone still have it, can you repost it to the workshop? I really like it

also if it's in your custom folder then it doesn't need to have snd_restart.

Are you still subscribed to Iiopn's animation (or have it in your custom folder)? If so, try unsubscribing/deleting it. I had to do this to get it to work.

Do you use TeamViewer or UltraView? I could help you via those software, easier to see what's wrong.

first, i tried the thing that doesn't usually work with black mesa mods, simply subscribing. then, i made the custom folder using the guide and put it in the folder instead of the mods folder in that folder. i even attempted to make sure by opening the vpk and pressing yes. i am still subscribed to this, if that's an important factor.
