I ended up removing all the workshop items, validating BM and re-downloading them and that seemed to work, not sure why that happened

That's the way it sounded in hl1. It's unique, and I tried to flesh it out a bit more and add depth. Guess it sounds a bit too true to the original.

I honestly love this sound back but the Crowbar doesn't have any special sound for hitting flesh which I personally dislike, if possible maybe you could fix that?

I really like these sounds! The vast majority of them make the weapons sound beefier, when it comes to the firearms, and nostalgic, in terms of the specialty weapons. However, I personally think that the shotgun's pumping sound leaves a bit to be desired (I think it could sound beefier and more befitting of the weapon's appearance if it was mixed with another pumping sound, possibly Black Mesa's), and I find the crowbar's hit sound to become a bit annoying after a while (perhaps you could use HL1's crowbar flesh hit sound as a base rather than the metal hit)? If you wouldn't want to mess with those, though, I'd understand.

Any chance for a mod that replcaces all sounds and music with ones from classic HL1? I've been watching "Half-Life SFX" videos on Youtube lately and now I'm in a mood for such a mod.

Just subscribe and type snd_restart into the console whenever you launch your game. Same goes for any workshop sound replacement.

The swing sound was the kf2 one edited. The hit was a mix of different half-life/hl2 samples I blended together and harmonized as well.

I took a killing floor 2 sound, pitch shifted and harmonized it to match the hl one.

I don't think any pre-update mods are showing up in menu since the latest update. Mine should still load if you type snd_restart in the console.

If you wanted to change viewmodel position, I'm pretty sure you would have to re-origin the animations in blender, or maybe with crowbar? Not exactly my area. Like 1v4 said, probably just a fov change possible in the scripts.

ooh, yeah sorry. I've been a little busy lately. That is a combination of two mods I am subscribed to:
Higher viewmodel fov

I remember poking around a bit. Animations are, well, model files, but the other one is weapon scripts.

Dmx only allows for field view changes. It doesn't include to my knowledge a way to change weapon positioning

@1v4n94 No no no I'm using that too, the viewmodel position itself seems centred, the shotgun looks like it's being aimed more from the hip than at the elbow in this video. I'd like if the author could tell me if this is just a personal mod or if he figured out how to tweak the positions in the dmx file. If so I'd really love to know
