I'd like to make it smaller, like how I can with the oxygen gauge.

i think it'd be better if it was near your crosshair, so no matter where you're looking you can always see the meters. now in the middle of a fight you have to look away from the projecties to see if your out of flight

Having the small permanent shield perk seems to break it. Just pointing it out.

Occasionally seems to stop working for no reason. Then pops up again the next run or even just later in the run again. Very odd.

When i enabled the mod it didnt seem to work at all, then i disabled all other mods and it worked except my figure was gone and only the cape remained. Note im playing on the beta branch, so may be why.

It's probably an order of magnitude more work but it would be really cool if this were integrated into the effects of the trail somehow.

Would it be possible to instead of having the bar near the player character, have it near the crosshair instead? I feel like while it's useful to have near the player, you're not actually looking at yourself as often as you are where you're shooting. Still a nice QOL mod regardless, and I'll continue using it for sure.

Sounds good. A custom position update rate sounds like a good idea, as well as a bar-update rate. Hopefully tinkering with that heavily improves the performance; if it's calling multiple things every frame instead of just being told to update when you fly, or being told to change when you get hit as case with the health bar mod, then it'll take a lot more of a chunk. Again, I'm not fluent in the language mods use so for all I know these are things you're doing already. Thanks for your mods.

@Veeyu22 Sorry to hear you're having troubles with it.

It really shouldn't be much of a performance hogger of a mod, all it's doing as far as calculations is adjusting the position of the meter to always be behind the player and to adjust the fullness of the meter based on the amount of hover power you have left.

In the latest update one of the things I optimized was to make it so that once it's full, it doesn't update its position when invisible since it doesn't need to. When I have time I can see if there's anything I can do to try and increase the performance any way I can, but I really can't think of anything else short of forcing the update rate of the meter into longer intervals (which would make the meter look choppier but would ultimately help the game's performance). Tho if I were to add anything like that, rest assured it'd be with a toggle or setting you could set.

Hi, this mod is very performance heavy for some reason. Perhaps something in the code is making it render every frame or something? I'm not fluent in lua but for now I cannot use the mod. Even with just this on the game takes quite a hit, and the other Gauge mods are no exception.

This mod makes the game so much better for me. Thank you! I play on a wide screen, so the normal HUD elements are far up and to the right, and I can't see them at all if I'm focusing on not getting Noita'd by the mobs :(

@Ragnaman Im sure it is! But unfortunately I don't have any plans on adding anything more to this mod, the only thing this mod will add to the game is the hover fuel meter near the player. You can always try asking the modding community on the Noita discord, tho!

is it possible to change the hue of the particles that come out when you hover ?
Lets say a gradient from azure blue to red.

Just updated the mod to v1.1, which has a fix for the stacking of multiple Hover Boost perks as well as some small runtime optimizations. Good luck with the Noita 1.0 update everybody! :)

@w00t This doesn't scale well with the Strong Levitation perk. Two or three of them makes this gauge disappear until you have a low enough amount of flight that the gauge shows up again

@Aviator I'll consider it :) I'll be totally honest, I mostly just made this mod because it was a requested feature of mine for the base game and this was just mostly a proof of concept for it, I'm not much of a graphic designer myself lol

@Runescape Goblin As of rn, mods are still only on the beta branch of Noita. If you opt in to the beta branch and download that version, it should show up in your mods list as long as your subscribed.
