Lorewise, Yomen and Squires shouldn't upgrade to knights. Bretonnian squires are just peasant "lucky" enough to serve a knight directly, and Bretonnian Knights don't go through the squire phase, they just become full knights at like 14 (which incidentally explains a lot about Bretonnia...)

Updated : The upgrade cost cannot be changed mid game, the modification only reflected in new games. However the value are not the same as the input value, player building do have an impact to it, wonder if there are other element does the same (e.g. supply lines, tech, character trait)

While the upgrade rank require and unit path can be change anytime mid game.

Dear Prop Joe,
Where can you alter the cost of each upgrade? I tired Modifying numbers in script/campaign/mod/pj_upgrade_units/unit_to_cost.lua
and sadly has no luck.

Ok, it seems like i managed to fix it and it is working now, if anyone is wonderin i cleared steam download cache and reinstalled the game.

For some reason when i download this mod it doesn't appear on the launcher/CA mod manager and i can't upgrade any units in game, your submods do appear and they also appear on the vandy mod manager.

Thanks for great mod.
I use it only for simple upgrades of early units like Empire Spearmen into Empire Spearmen(Shields). Can you point me where I can change the amount of HP that unit get after upgrade? It kind of feel silly when guys lose 2/3HP after getting Shields. Thanks

What do you plan to do when you're making a TWW3 version? Are you going to use the current system you've made or give various factions access to the Warriors of Chaos unit upgrade system with specific choices for each one?

Would love to be able to do it in wh3. Same for RoR variant for exemple all exalted lesser daemon have a RoR version now. So basically t1(if it exists) > t2 > t3> RoR

Submod "Upgrade Same Unit Types Only by Mr. Tarzan" stopped working and disappeared from my list of mods. I used it for a very long time and can not imagine the game without it. Is it possible to do something with this (perhaps someone has backups of the tables)?

I appreciate this mod greatly. But, in my mind, you could start with an army of peasants and end with an army of grail nights. You can't promote units to heroes or heroes to lords. Which I completely understand. I just was hoping it would be more like borderland's progression system rather then just adding shields to units, or switching from spears to swords. The blessed and elector submods are perfect examples of this premise done correctly, Elevating units based on merit. Elevating. Upgrading. Promoting! As it stands this mod is just too horizontal. Would it really be that weird for skinks to turn into temple guards? Yes, absolutely. But, skinks have great weapon, flyers and dino rider variants. But no, spears with shields or spears without shields.

Also how can I make it so that when I upgrade a unit, it does not destroy the old unit card but instead:
-checks how many units within the card in question meet the criteria for the upgrade I want
-only those units receive the upgrade and are removed from their card, which otherwise remains intact
-new "upgraded" units created in a newly created card

Still excellent thanks, was wondering about 2 things
-how do you make the units appear with less than 100% health? I would really like to recruit units at low health for my own mod
-any way to force units to automatically upgrade? i.e. when upgrades are available for a unit, it randomly chooses between the available options (decreasing chance for higher upgrades), or not upgrading at all (50% base chance always)

I think this would be cool and would appreciate your expertise!

This seems to work on a similar level to dogs of war, how did you manage to make that one work for multiplayer? as this one does cause alot of desyncs.

This mod causes a lot of issues in multiplayer. After an upgrade, you almost always have a desync.

No, this mod doesn't add any units. If it's an Empire unit maybe it's from one of the Mixu LL mods.

there isn't one, and it's very unlikely for them to ever be made since all the unit variants require duplicating the unit in the database and that's actually a ton of work

Is there an Upgrade Troops + Sigmar's Heirs compatibility submod floating around anywhere?
I know the knightly orders already have compatibility natively but it doesn't seem to work with the state troops, or the attachments like bayonets for handgunners

hey. does someone else have the problem that the mod resets the unit exp setting to 0 again in the vandy mod manager? i changed it multiple times to 0.5 (dafault value) but it keeps reseting to 0 after im loading the save.

Empire and Bretonnia unit upgrade are now tied to the Empire and Bretonnia subcultures so that their mercenary units in Cataph's TEB mod won't have upgrades they shouldn't have

Hey, don't know if its been said - (Norsca) when upgrading Marauder Chariots to Ice Wolves Chariots the unit disappears entirely. Tested with just Upgrade Units and a little mod I made to boost growth and unit recruitment xp for Wulfrik to expedite the test.

Probably gonna sound like a moron but when you said you got some reports that it was not mp compatible does that mean its the majority and this mod isnt mp compatible despite your efforts or it is indeed compatible but some may have issues?
