They fixed the workshop to no longer require manual installation for most mods. Some mods still contain dummy files though and require manual installation (BMCE).

@DreaddJester the reason might be is that u installed your game on some other disk. in the guide it says to go to disk "С" but i installed my black mesa on disk D and so the folder 362890 is on disk D for me.

I haven't play Black Mesa for a long time but I think they're compatible since this one is just blood decals not blood splash decals when you shoot.

How is it possible, that this mod deactivated all of the music soundtracks and deleting it does not help? Settings are ok.

Oh, wicked! I went through a CVAR command dump I found in githhub but beyond increasing the number of gibs I couldn't find much for the actual blood. Does this mod also increase the amount of time bloodpools stick around?

@Kyrii YES, human gibs 4K blood and Alien gibs 4K alien blood. Both of them have decals. This is the best mod

One of my biggest pet-peeves of the Retail version of BM was the lack of blood in combat. Not only does this mod bring back blood wounds, but it also seems to bring back the nature of bleeding ragdols and gibs from the mod! Some of those screenshots have far more decals then the original game as the mod version would plaster rooms with blood if an enemy gibbed in them, which the screenshots of both the human and alien 4K blood mods seem to revel in! I hope that's the case, can anyone confirm if gibbing an enemy brings the same messy results? If so, I'll give this mod a shot!

really the ONLY mod for Black Mesa worth subscribing to. its works well, doesnt cause stuttering, and is just great to add more blood and gore.

@LordAinzalot Have you tried just installing this mod a normal mod for CM2013? Which I think would be to copy the files to a subfolder of hl2\custom. I don't really see why it shouldn't work. And this mod already contains VMT files so I don't know what you're about there. VMT are just text files and doesn't contain any textures themselves, you can open them with Notepad.

I wish someone would mod the blood particles that appear briefly when shooting/hitting enemies as well as when Gordon is hit. It's my biggest low resolution gripe with the game.

how to have it as .vmt files? I need those to use it in CM2013

yeah, it should, thats why I thought it would be easy to set it up but it isn`t since there are a lot of folders in the mod and I dont know which one to pick. maybe someone else in here knows about it?

This feels like a worthy update to the Blood HD mod that I've used since I first got Black Mesa. Everything so much more visceral (no pun intended) and you kind of feel for the dead Marines after you survey the carnage onscreen. The gas masks also look like they got filled with blood when you shoot the soldier wearing them in the face. Alongside the HD alien blood mod, this is a literal game-changer.

but usually all this procces is automatically on steamworkshop when you subcsribe for mod's... mhhh... for example i have a lot of mod's for civilization 6 and there it's just subscribe and you will get youre mod fully work

@destiny1985 Put 4k blood and 4k Alien Blood inside the custom folder like I said they're VPKs.
Well its up to you because some people do that to save space which is great. Some people not because of backup. Therefore, its up to you if you want to delete them in the workshop folder. For me, they're not causing crash.

Yes, it has to be name as custom. Then " inside the custom folder " is where you put all vpk mods. For non-vpk, you have to create another folder called "mods" where you put all non-vpk mods such as materials, models, resources, scripts, sound

1. C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Black Mesa\bms
2. Create Custom folder
3. Inside the custom is where you put your VPK mods. For non-VPK mods, you have to create a folder inside the custom folder.
