i got it how to install,if you dont know how to doit you need to extract manually the backgrounds of the mod,select all the background files and extract and paste it and replace the files int he left4dead2/media folder

Could you make one the same but without sounds? the sounds are a bit annoying when you are looking at something in the background

btw this works well for people backing down thinking its sketchy but its really does work, just why did you add rain sfx it sounds annoying

you should just put the converted BIK videos on a google drive instead of making people download and extract shit.

nvm, for anyone wondering what to do, you have to go into the addons folder and actually DRAG the addon file over the vpk.exe file, it should say "open with vpk". if you dont have a vpk.exe you can just download it from the internet or someone else and move it to /Left 4 Dead 2/bin

where tf do i get the background.bik file from? all the addon does is install in my addons folder as a regular steam mod file

the vpk.exe is on "\common\Left 4 Dead 2\bin" Drag the .vpk onto the "vpk.exe" file.

Is there a version without the rain sound? It's kinda loud and drowns out my menu music mod.

I believe the only way to open and edit the .bik file is by using the Bink! video editing software from RAD tools.

That was from a quick Google search as I was curious myself about making my own backgrounds but it looks like the author here had a similar idea to me, and I like the look of these, so I'm going to pick these up instead.

Do note that Bink! is now legally allowed to drink (released in '99) so I don't know how user-friendly that software will be. But I hope this helps both you and anyone else reading this as to the issue of messing with .bik files.

None of my video editing software knows what to do with bik files, can you make a version that doesn't have sound?

Just use gcfscape and extract WHY IS THAT SO HARD TO UNDERSTAND. Great mod though :D
