Are you sure the old weapon wasn't marked as obsolete? You can set old obsolete weapons to no longer be obsolete.

Let's say we have a modified old weapon. Will it be possible to make further corrections? In the past, I've encountered a bug where the game doesn't update old devices. making it impossible to produce new weapons at all

This mod does not touch on tanks/planes. Make sure you have the Death or Dishonor dlc, which allows conversion.

Mechanized / Motorized does not have soft or hard damage, so stuck to piercing for Mechanized, infantry /artillery equipment does, and is improvable. I might replace the Gun Upgrade for Mechanized with either Fuel Consumption or Production Cost ( IC cost ), because just upgrading piercing is kinda meh. I was considering adding Defense / Production Cost Upgrades for Infantry / Artillery Equipment. I will put in the next release.

This mod is also good but it lacks improvements such as soft damage and hard damage, defense and speed of production
