Im btw. not active anymore in this DayZ modding stuff. Anything you want to have added or changed is you own job. THis Mod literally only is changing config values - anybody with more than 5 brain cells can do it if he really wants to.

Its not rude. Just read the link. License is linked in description and everything is explained there. Owning a server and installing mods means that you have to inform yourself and read a lot. We cant answer the same questions all over again everytime someone new decides to create a new server

hey fragility, thanks for the mod! could u include vests on it or make another version including mainly vest and face covers (balaclava, bandana)? i never modded dayz (just know server stuff for dayz) so i have no clue if its easy or not so i understand if u dont feel like doing it but it would be cool to have the option lol and just to make sure (u might be able to confirm before i test it) MMG clothing will work with this mod, right?!

Im not active in dayz anymore - you can adapt this "mod" (just a config file) easily and fit it to your needs.

Its licensed as ADPL-SA, so there is no problem with that.

Could you add ponchos to this? So that wearing a poncho makes all your gear except your boots/shoes 'rainproof'?

It changes the values of existing base items. No new items ;)

Does this add new variant of the items or alter the current set of items in game?

If i want to change the values of certain clothes can i? I'm trying to make only one set of clothes waterproof and make it rare to find. I guess i could remove the rest of the clothes off the loot table but dont want to do that if i can help it

it should for vanilla stuff - keep in mind, that water resistance doesnt change insulation values...

since 1.10 it will still show "damp" even if stuff is water-resistant.

I haven't had time to try any of the new vanilla temperature system yet, I've been using ClassicTemperature so far which is beautiful... I need to figure out what to do ahahaha

im just thinking about some of the backpacks and vests, because now they can impact your temperature. but i have to test ... thats also heavily dependant on the insulation value.

@fragility no worries thanks for the update! With making other things water proof, i think anything that in real life is made of a canvas/cordura like material should be water proof or very water resistant at least! The new mechanics work well in the game and stop you getting cold right away but its harder to dry off. So maybe tweaking that with the water proof stuff too. Also maybe look into thermal tweaking too if you want :)

with the next update it will be uncompressed again. i already think aabout making more stuff waterproof, becaause it matters more now - aat least when you have the new temperature system activated.

I can do that, but at the moment it makes no difference for your chatacter or the items if the backpack or vests get wet - at least im not aware of that. if they bring back that feature, i will implement that of course.

If your helmet, gloves, shirt/jacket, pants and shoes are waterproof, your character shouldnt feel cold :P

Thanks, just been looking at how to repack, I can extract & edit (using pbo mngr and NP++), but for the life of me I cant find a tutorial to repack that makes sense...sniff...I tried :(
