I went in game,on the beta,to test it but it works fine,so i have no clue what may be happening on your case.
I can only tell you to try verifying game file integrity,or maybe try downloading the full pack to see if the M1897 there works for you

I have no clue what to tell you because i haven't even updated this in a long time,there's no way i've broken anything accidentally;maybe it's the beta but i do not think this new beta broke stuff again

fires too many pellets compared to other shotguns, but that honestly makes it a ton of fun to use :)

I just wanna say I love how shotguns are so much more useful in Ravenfield since there aren't any players to bitch about them. This is probably the only game where you can nail someone with buckshot from 50 meters away. I had kills at 100 meters or more with this thing.
