if you use skydark i suggest scaling the map to 7km and when you use OSM you change the scale factor to 1.06 for better scaling and accuracy

I also realized that some roads appear as oneway when they should not.
The solution is to remove all <tag k="oneway" v="no"/> tags from your osm file before using it. The mod disregards the "no" and creates a one way street.

If the roads are placed off scale, here is my solution that just worked:
Use a scale factor of 1.041666

The reason is that I used the heightmap.png and map.osm from https://heightmap.skydark.pl/ that assumes you have a 17.28km map. I thought this mod assumed maps of 18km, so it needs some scaling.
18/17.28=1.041666 which aligned my streets PERFECTLY!!!

I really want this to work well, but currently it seems to have issues with creating glitchy/unselectable nodes. Though it is amazing how much currently works. Maybe I'll poke at the source code and see if I can fix up some of the issues...

For everyone that has problems with the downloads: terrainparty is broken, use skydark. You can download the osm and heightmap files, as well as an image overlay from there.
Make certain that the files are in the correct folders (you can change this while the game is running, no worries), and that the mod is activated.

The roads the mod makes aren't perfect, but they work well as a starting point. I'd suggest using an image overlay mod to fix the oddness and help streamline roads to use less nodes before using in gameplay, it saves on load-time.

Works as well as it ever did. Note: Skyve flags the mod as old so you have to manually activate the mod. Skyve also links to another mod (OSM import). OSM import is broken, do not swap over.

When I hit 'Make Roads' the mod shows it's building roads and that they are completed, but the roads don't actually get built. Also the mod then says there are 0 nodes. What could possibly be going wrong here?

The mod is working. It's the openstreetmap data being terrible. I'll have to redo all roads.

Any way to change which roads are used when importing? For example if i wanted to use different railroads? Using RON messes up the intersections with roads.

@TkesslerT: Have you ever created and saved any Heightmaps in the Map Editor? If not, then such a folder does not exist in your directory( it is automatically created by game, when first time you saved some Heightmap)
Yes - you can create the folder manually - referring to the path: ...\Addons\MapEditor\Heightmaps

When I use the mod, even though I do not reach the node limit, I'm unable to place any roads in the map editor. I need to have highway connections for the map to be playable, but it will not let me place down any roads.

The OSM Map is loaded correctly, but the 'Make Roads' button doesn't seem to be working. What to do? Even deactivated all other mods(so it doesn't conflict with each other) still doesn't work at all.

@Basco81: Try CS Heightmap Genarator [heightmap.skydark.pl]
Its similar to terrainparty, but it works and have some additional features - download OSM map, satelite map, scaling heightmaps, some smoothing function etc.
