@Aurora: thanks for playing the map. Waves come every 7 days up to day 70, so day 56 rush is survivable. It's been nearly 3 years so I'm a bit out of touch on strategy for this map, but optimising the train cargo can help snowball your economy. I've tried 3 times now on medium difficulty. By day 55~ rush i cant hold them off. Do I essentially need to take out all towers before the day 55 rush? Or is there a way to still hold them off after day 55?

@Takaishi happy to hear you thought it was a good map. What difficulty do you play it on? I reduced the difficulty a bit last year as it was too hard but I may tweak it down a bit more.

所幸他们只突破了东侧的石墙,依然被挡在了哨塔林立的防线外,哈哈哈,玩这个游戏我最喜欢的就是最后的大决战,900难度最后的尸潮强度太低,而很多自定义地图最后全是胖子没有亿万的感觉,如果有可能可以把最后一次的报复尸潮除胖子以外数量翻倍,尸潮越宽越好,这应该会更有人山人海的感觉,最后向作者表示问候,愿逝者安息,她们会为你感到骄傲的,一定不希望你陷入悲伤,我也有亲人在前几年去世,但是一切都会好起来的,热爱着现在的生活,时间已经走了上百亿年了,珍惜当下是我们每一个人要做的,最后都不知道说点什么了,图好,吹爆:steamhappy::steamthumbsup:

因为风电以及前期经济不好,所以基本都是一级风电,二级风电黄金消耗是一级的五倍,这两个在前期真的是互相制约,房区总共可以造三个,酒馆四十天以前都没敢出等等,前两天玩的都记不清了或许作者不希望我们守住最后一波尸潮,确实,因为我通关过不知多少次900难度的地图所以我很自信的每次都会玩最高难度,第一次玩猝不及防,虽然没有让麦提前赶过去但好歹防线比较坚固扛了一段时间最后也通过了,我就想最高难度最后能不能守住,然后我仔细认真打,结合之前的经验修筑了十分坚固的防线,我擅长经济统筹,只要稳扎稳打就不难,最后造了1600多个狙击手,包括西北出最后一波尸潮的山谷我都精密布防,防线东侧组织交叉火力最大限度的增加火力和减少伤亡,因为谨慎,我七十三天的时候才敢摧毁最后一座塔和他们决战

感谢作者的精彩创作,这张图的主要问题是前期发展缓慢,房区不足(地上的裂缝十分影响建筑摆放,不过我认为作者这么做至少有两个目的,规划尸潮路径营造最后效果,不利于房区建设影响发展,能推掉塔但防不住最后一波(也是为了效果吧),木头也极少,加上仓库全图刚过百110那个样子(有四个木头我就伐木)不敢造发电厂,但是风电消耗工人,好在三十多天以后发展起来了每次火车资源都是工人,总共送了700多工人(显示一车四个工人实际上会来六个),但也不是完全没可能防住,好在石头比较多,全图加仓库130左右,其他资源可以通过石头换取(粮食和电力)可以提升经济,铁50多,后期因为可以大量交换所以也不缺,石油转换机是最后造的为了爆兵,石油是很可观的,78,可以造很多兵,也可以卖钱,

800 degree of difficulty is too abnormal, the first popular 10 opening play, thought the early stage is relatively simple, the results of the 6th day by the corpse tide began to eat. Then the second time with the speed barracks, pile soldiers play, with the zombies pulled 10 days, made nearly 15-16 soldiers to settle down. And then, when the last tower was destroyed, it was amazing! To the west and north are particularly susceptible to corpse tide! The most critical is the east, south not only to special feeling corpse tide, but also nearly 200 giants, this who can hold ah? 800难度实在太变态了,第一次民心10开局打,以为前期比较简单,结果第6天就遭不住尸潮开饭。然后第2次用速兵营,堆士兵打法,跟丧尸拉扯到第10天,造了近15-16个兵才稳下来。之后,当最后一个心灵塔摧毁,那场面太惊叹了!西面、北面都来特感尸潮!最最关键的是东、南面不但来特感尸潮,还来近200多只巨人,这谁能守得住啊?虽然我的防线像豆腐一样破了,但我把主角送到码头还是赢了。

@Arlague - thank you for your kind words. Great to hear you were using all the new game mechanics and saved the Badgers! Well done on beating the map at 800%. None of the campaign assets are available in the editor right now so I had to be creative with both the scripts and the graphics :)

@Bishop - hey Bishop and glad to see you again! Yes I remember you as an early Follower and thank you for all your support. I'm doing as good as can be and have a good bunch of friends and family (and a lot of support here too) to keep me going. I hope you enjoy the rest of the story!

Oh, and I noticed you used iron and stone to make the rail. Couldn't you use the campaign's train in the editor (I guess you couldn't ^^)

Hello PoBmaestro, I just finished the map, played it at 800%. I did not expect to clear it, but I did :D. I enjoyed it a lot, took advantage of all the game mechanics you designed and even saved the Badgers.

I know the map have been out for a while now, but since I just finished it, I just saw the message at the end.

My deepest sympathy for this tragic event.

Hey POBmaestro, am a follower of your works since your first map. Was away for for work and didn't really touch TAB much till recently. Subscribed to 29 years and saw the message you left at the end of the map.

I know this is rather late, but my condolences to your family and you.

It's really heartwarming to know that all this while, the maps we've been playing has in some ways her blessings.

@Squirtle squad - it doesn't matter who gets to the docks first (the game can't tell). The problem of it showing 0 survivors is a bug with the game unfortunately. It's a simple script that works for most but not for everyone and I've been unable to find a fix myself. Your Badger Cubs did actually survive so you can use them in Phase 17 (if you haven't started already), you'll just need to remember how many survived without the prompt of the screenshot.

you should probably add a note to get the cubs to the docks before Macauley . i got +50% sniper run speed so Macauley made i to the docks before them and the game said 0 survived :/

Unfortunately I am delaying Phase 17 release to 16th Jan. My excellent Chinese translator has been ill with a fever and has been on an IV drip 3 times. For various reasons it's better to delay the release of the map. The rest of the schedule remains unchanged. Please wish my translator a speedy recovery :)

Thanks for making these levels for the community. You're work is really impressive.... the design, story, detail, attention to detail are really dialed in and dramatically improve the Orig game/campaign.

Hope you find the time to keep pumping these high end levels for us... it's much appreciated.

Somehow you've managed to improve upon the last set of missions with these new ones! The custom sounds and new mechanics are a great addition. This is what the official campaign should have been like. Really great going.

I've just released an update for Phase 15 & 16 (and future maps) with new Stone for Food barter values. Old:

10 stone to receive 4 food (2.5 stone for every 1 food)
25 stone to receive 12 food (2.08 stone for every 1 food)
40 stone to receive 28 food (1.43 stone for every 1 food)
60 stone to receive 50 food (1.2 stone for every 1 food)
100 stone to receive 100 food (1 stone for every 1 food)

New balance update:

10 stone to receive 4 food (2.5 stone for every 1 food)
30 stone to receive 14 food (2.14 stone for every 1 food)
60 stone to receive 30 food (2 stone for every 1 food)
120 stone to receive 64 food (1.8 stone for every 1 food)
200 stone to receive 128 food (1.56 stone for every 1 food)   

This in term should reduce the value of the food for energy Barter. I'll continue to monitor feedback on balancing issues. There is a lot of new mechanics and 3 difficulty modes so it's a lot to balance but hopefully getting we're getting there!

@bandnerd525- thanks for all the feedback! I've heard a few times now that people are finding stone for food for energy is too strong so I've updated the maps to make it less effective. As for your other points:

The sound effect volume is hard to balance as there is no custom sound effect volume. I've had feedback they were too loud and too quiet! On medium and hard the walking waves do get bigger as time goes on. Hard is about 3x harder than Medium so the waves at the start and throughout are do-able with the right tactics :)

Third times the charm, medium difficulty!

only had to use 1 moral on the winning run, really just did not see a way to keep the walker waves back without immediate soldier support. The stone for food and then food for energy still seems like so much, pretty much never had to make any food or energy production buildings. Sound effects are still wonderful, although I did have some trouble hearing what the voices were saying in the final run to the dock.

Kinda curious, were the waves set to increase on time, or depending on the # of towers left? second and third runs my timeframes were similar, just the second time I didnt prepare defenses well enough and lost to waves before the control towers died. Kept the badgers with Macauley, all 5 made it to the docks! thought that was going to be their survival requirement. Also sorry about the news at the end :/

@orionmnt - thanks for all the feedback and glad you like the sound effects and music as that is something that has taken a lot of extra time and effort this time around. It's been hard to balance the new mechanics but I feel I have enough feedback to know how to adjust it for future maps :)

Once again, the sound effects/music were really nice (actually the specific music/sounds are so nice in the campaign) The map was really intense at the start, happy to use 2 derectives for soldiers to deal with it, but after that there was no pressure (like the snowy map with constant waves) (streamers are not dying enough still, you can do better :P ) trains/trades were sooooo strong once again, it is nice to play on the desert map and having enough food because of survival 800% PTSD in the past :) Everything was working as planned, not even the final message/summary loop with Smith like before. Sorry to hear about the news at the end, that was a very kind tribute!

Yes when I rescued the last badger cub it said that all 4 are alive and I got the resources. In the summary screen it then stated "0 out of 4 survived". Not a big thing if you know they survived, you can just select it in future missions :)

Sorry to hear you had a problem with the end screen summary. When you rescued the last Badger Cub did it say that all 4 were still alive? Also at the end screen did it say "None survived" or "0 out of 4 survived"? It's been a long standing issue that the Custom Variables that are used to track these things can get bugged for some players. I try and write in back ups to cover this and knowing when it bugged out for you will help me figure out where it's gone wrong :)

All of my 4 Magic Badger Cubs survived, but it said in the end that there were none left :( I had an Academy of Immortals and they were in a tower if that helps.

I also wanted to say Thank you for every single second you put into these campaigns! They are awesome and I have so much fun playing them and discovering their secrets. Thank you :)

I've published a balancing update to Phases 14 - 16 that reduces the weekly morale bonuses. Positive morale now gives less gold and food and negative morale costs 75% less gold. This is because too many people were getting morale 10 and not using Directives as they were deemed not to be worth the morale trade. Feedback is always welcome :)

@star.defender - thank you for the kind feedback. It's feedback like this which helps keep me motivated. But with how complex and time consuming the map making has become (60 - 80hrs per map) it's not likely I'll do any more after 29YL. It would be nice to complete a trilogy so never say never. The train was pretty powerful. Despite expansion becoming too difficult for me after defeating the first control tower (thankfully I setup chokepoints on both sides beforehand), the train gave me all the food I needed.

That final wave was definitely a close call though, especially that sneak attack from the left of the screen >:D. Had to use my remaining rangers to kite and also build walls, otherwise they would've gotten to my command center ealier than I got to the dock.

Really enjoyable map (and in general, your campaigns) though <3

@๖ۣۜ , @MacChikken Tids - Are you referring to the final wave on day 70 or the counter attack when the final Control Tower is destroyed? The weekly waves are designed to become extremely hard to encourage you to focus taking down the Control Towers, but the counter attack wave when you are instructed to escape to the docks you are not supposed to be able to survive.
