Ah found it thanks, one can only adjust that setting at world creation, i was looking and trying to edit an existing game.

the mod readme differs slightly from what you wrote in the steam discription
"Grey is the color standard!!!"
vs.
"White is the color standard!!!"

I used it with Empty world together, just that the world isnt really empty, there are a bunsh of astroids floating around and a sun in the distance. Any idears how to get rid of those so the space is really empty?

This is very useful! I use it to take pics of my ships and then use a photo editor to cut the ships out of the blank background.
