I'll see how it goes with my simply building, i may turn it into a prop, then go through other stages.

yeah i decided to do a simple box with a roof maybe, and maybe a simple chimney.

Yeah true. But once you've have an idea of things, everything becomes a little easier. Just don't give up. That applies to everything in life. For 3D modelling and texturing, I would suggest start small and challenge yourself with each new project. Don't make your factory first. The work is probably overwhelming. Make a prop first, with a diffuse and a specular map only. Learn UV-unwrapping, texturing and get to know the hurdles the game engine brings. When you finished the prop, make a small house, with a little bit more difficulty. Try an alpha or a normal map. And so on. The golden rule in art and design is to stay curious. Your projects should be exciting, but if you know it's too big split the tasks. And then get to it step by step. If you saw my first projects, you would laugh your head off. Never ever give up... ;)

I'll give it a try again but it's more like a try and error than having any guide and advice available.

Thanks dude. Just give it a try. There are a lot of really good tutorials out there. Especially for C:S asset creation.

There's plenty of former German factories scattered around Poland, and they look amazing. Trying to get my head around asset modelling to start bringing them here to the workshop :)
