To be fair, Bleach Stone is the requirement in the base game for all germ killing buildings. While I also don't like using things that cost Bleach Stone, there is precedent for using it.

It would be slightly more realistic with salt or saltwater as on output.

Hi - you said that you can change the numbers for resource consumption in the config, but I tried to do so and found it was hard coded in. Is there some way I can change it without having to use a code editor? I don't really know how to program.

There's a mod called Bleach Stone Refinery. It looks and operates just like the oxylite refinery, only it makes bleach stone instead. If your world has a chlorine geyser and a good source of gold, it can make all the bleach stone you need.

Or you can just ranch Squeaky Pufts. They inhale chlorine and excrete bleach stone.

Been trying to work out a water treatment plant using both the UV Cleaner the Germ Scrubber, and kelmenwong's New Gas and Liquid Filters mod (gotta love those disease filters). Before, the germ scrubber had been processing at the full rate, but once I tapped into a germy polluted water geyser... yeeaaahhhhh. Sticking a water reservoir in between the UV Cleaner and the Germ Scrubber to act as a buffer seems to help in keeping things running smooth... but I'll have to bump up the numbers a bit to at least keep up with the germ growth rate in the buffer reservoir.

There is a limit to how many germs it can remove (configurable), if you have extremely germy liquids (such as out of a toilet) it will not process at 10kg/s; this prevents it outputting germy liquids without being too strong.

Hex, I've noticed that the flow rate on the Germ Scrubber isn't constant. Is the rate of flow tied to how many germs there are in the water?

Germless liquids will not consume Bleach Stone, it is consumed proportionally to the germ content.

20mil per kg shouldn't cause any issues, the limit is probably just over 4bil, but I don't know how ONI will react.

I will set to 10000 (Default) if you answer my question i will leave it on my favorites...

a question if you introduce a liquid without germs, will it continue consuming lye stone?

I dislike re-implementing things that already exist, vanilla especially. If anything, redoing the ore scrubber would be a separate mod that changes the existing scrubber to allow rails and to use the same scrubbing logic this uses (germs per kg).

@MysticForces : Place the bleach stone refinery and the liquid germ scrubber into a little overpressurized closed room ( I prefer chlorine gas as filler ) then you won't have any problems with gas emissions from bleach stone. And your auto sweepers can directly delivery the scrubber with fresh crystalized bleach stone ;)

@Hex : Nice to hear that you plan to introduce a gas germ scrubber. But is this really necessary to enforce disinfection of gases ? An ore scrubber with a conveyor rail connection would be more beneficial IMHO. ( Since you can fill PO2 into bottles and clean these in an ore scrubber, too )

P.S. : There are two mods providing a bleach stone refinery. It depends how you want to crystalize bleach stone. The recipes differ a little bit.

There's a mod to convert chlorine gas to bleach stone (IIRC "Bleachstone Refinery"), plus adding chlorine gas as an option will go against my (admittedly overly-late) plan to have a second building that performs the same cleaning on gasses.

I second the suggestion to make this also capable of using chlorine gas as an alternative to bleach stone. I find bleach stone (any off-gassing solid really) difficult to work with, but perhaps that's just a challenge I haven't mastered yet.

You have to tweak the germ removal rate, as it is per kg of bleach stone.

I just realized, if I change the bleach stone consumption to 400g per second, the water is also that amount...is there a possibility to change that? (a higher output of clean water with a lower bleach stone consumption)

I set down the consumtion in the config file. I don't have that much bleach stone^^....yeah...an input for chlorine gas would be awesome...specially if you have enough chlorine (geyser etc)

So I've spent couple of hours making/collecting chlorine to plug into my liquid storage tank full of polluted water just to clean germs then i saw this mod.

The Bleachstone Refinery mod is not broken, I'm using it in my own play-through.

Hmmm. Okay. Since I don't like to build another farm ( in this case for squeaky puff ) and the bleach stone refinery mod is broken, I will return to my a little bit clumsy ( huge ) but almost powerless and not any resources consuming water and air cleaning facility.

I will save the precious bleach stone for the hand sanitizers.

Bleach Stone is under-used, I wanted to resolve that. Adding a second piped input would also be difficult I think.

I appreciate your mod, but why do you have made it depending on bleach stone? It would be much better ( IMHO ) to pump chlorine gas into the liquid ... like the normal solid germ scrubber.
