DPN has been merged with Beyond Typus again
Mostly, and errors in naming by now are mostly fixed.
So when is the next addition of names coming?
no
no, it's for BT
Fixing all the bugs that there were in DPN, thanks to Draiocht regex formula + a lot of new dynamic names for Czech, Vietnamese, Chinese, German... etc
Hey! BT does not support spanish language, that's why it doesn't work.
I ´ve subscribed to Beyond Typus, buy I play in spanish.
Maybe thats the reason of "prov xxx".
Thanks!
This mod is a component of a different mod on the workshop. If you want to use Beyond Typus, you can then subscribe to this mod for province names. This mod here cannot be used on it's own. It is also advised to play the game in english as that can also be a source for getting 'Prov xxxx'.
When I play, there are a lot of provinces without name. Just "province 678". How can I put names? Have I to do by my self? Thanks
The screenshots are by me. In those I used for like the map itself Beyond Typus (obviously lol) and for graphics I used Ad Lucem with water darkened by editing the constants files, A Rev. Font Mod, Enhanced Zoom and Surveyability, Invisible Trade Routes, Minuscula Borders, TBARW EXTRA: Transparent political mapmode.
The best is to have historical names that existed (or still exist) or to create names that are rougly similar to keep the essence of the name and looks like real names. Direct etymological names should be avoided as it can appear as out of place. Though, it does work especially for colonial names in Africa or in the New World for example where names are pretty much obvious in their etymology. In the end, both methods can be applied: the most important is that it does not look out of place and have to be consistent with the other names, if it does not offend a native speaker then this is all good!
PS: modern names are prefered, even if an historical variant exists. E.g "Gerona" is called "Gérone" in French currently, though it used to be known as "Gironne". Here, the actual one is preferred.
-----------------
Brugges (dutch name) Bruges (current English name) mooring Harbour (the actual etymological name of Brugges derived from a Scandinavian language)
OR Both methods applied
OR different
OR modern day names
I don't know how to help you then, you should maybe verify the files of EU4 with Steam see if there's any problem regarding them.
I don't know what could cause this because the mod doesn't touch anything regarding the graphics. Are you sure there is no other mod enabled?
It depends of what Draiocht will want. It is more likely that he will integrate this in main BT mod but keeping dynamic province naming as a separate addon would allow Draiocht to have less work to do and as he's already pretty much busy it could be good, and it also allows more often updates than when it is with BT main mod. So well.. we'll see.
