Been using this tactic for a while with various teams, as well as others, but tbh i think this is my preferred tactic, ive started a new game, and as always ive started unemployed, I was approached by a few skrill league teams, but decided to take on Welling Utd who were 24th in the Skrill Prem. After about 15 games, they are now just out of the drop zone, and I firmly believe its helped by using this tactic. As said, it's a simple tactic, but io think that is why it works so well especially in the lower leagues. Thank you for uploading :)

thx, maybe you can find some needed tweaks on it, havn't tested it on big teams yet though

With lower leauge I think Skrill Premier, Italian serie C, Spanish 3rd divisions and clubs like that, mid table well how about the better scandinavian clubs? in my opinion they are weaker than Euro top teams.
Been testing this: http://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=283448925 with Senja, a Norwegian 2nd division group team, got top 4 with part time and amateur players xD

I have updated it and have been testing it, I have managed to walk the league with Man Utd (probably not too hard I know) and also walking the league with Marseille in the French league and in my online save with a mate am currently top of the German league with HSV, it is very good at home where I hardly concede and it is ok away but not totally satisfactory, I need to test it in a lower league or with a mid to low table team but it's hard to get the time to test it properly, if anyone wants to test it let me know your email and I will send it to you, Cheers.

I hate that you have to be a genius to make a decent tactic in this game.

agreed allan, especially with clubs with a bunch of good attackers i want a 2 striker setup, sadly creating them seems quite tough

I agree. I wan't two strikers on my team, but it's hard to create a good tactic with two strikers!

sounds great, as i'm gettin a bit tired of all those tactics with a single striker only. Been trying to make a tactic myself, but it's dosn't seem very succes full so far....

Hi, over the last couple of days I have been trying a few tweaks to bring back 4-4-2, with a big team it's working well but with a mid to lower team I'm struggling a bit! I'll keep trying though as I want a good all round 4-4-2.

is there a updated version in the makeing? since the author says tha the 14.3 patch "killed" this tactic?

This is a great tactic. I made my own team in the editor and started in the danish second division. By using this tactic, I was promoted to the top league in Denmark. Went straight through both divisions to get there :)

Subscribed. Downloaded. Is not added into the game. Cannot find it at all. Where does the file install? Because it's not in the Import folder.

Unfortunately it no longer works since the 14.3 patch

so far this tactic is working well and then it doesnt... Im top of the league but im no where near dominating games, im bottom of the champions league group with 0 points from 2 games.. i for some reason keep scoring goals but getting marked off for offside, have around 2/3 a game ? is this an issue for anybody else

This is a pretty good tactic. Helped me push for playoffs :)

Looks a very solid tactic, had this from fm-base. I've only used it in a few cup games so far with some good results, I did remove drop deeper instruction but I guess that's down to personal preference.

Good tactic... I got Bournemouth into Prem in first season after I was sacked from Charlton Athletic. I was predicted 20th but actually came 2nd. Couldnt believe it. Now I am on the hunt for a tactic that will keep me in the prem.

won the charity shield, super cup, world club cup, league cup, fa cup, premier league and champions league in one seaspn withthe tactic with nottingham forest(9th season) Scored 119 goals in the prem and got 100 points. Lost just 3 games in all compititions. ledge tactic and not boring like all this tika taka rubbish

Can I ask about a few instructions you have, and what your reasoning behind them are?

- Why "Drill Crosses" ?
- Why "Drop Deeper" ?

And some of my own observations:
- "Look For Overlap" has a tendency to slow down attacks and counter attacks, letting AI defense get into position.
- "Get Stuck In" is currently not a great instruction with 14.1.4 - hard tackles tend to produce alot of red cards - they know this and will fix for 14.1.5

I've noticed that I'm conceding more goals but also scoring more goals so my results are still as good but the games are higher scoring, If I can find a way to tighten up the defence without compromising the attack this tactic could become an absolute monster in my opinion, it's just finding the right balance.

I can say one thing that I have noticed.
Specific Marking Strikers doesnt always work.
Sometimes the striker gets the better of my defender, because he is faster and more agile.
Sometimes marking a striker, leaves a hole, where a roaming AMC takes advantage, and gets a through pass.
The "Drill Crosses" I've noticed more often than not, gets deflected by AI defense.

Currently managing Southampton in 3rd season now.
Used your tactic from day 1 in this save.
1st season ended 4th - which was great.
2nd season got in some new players, more suited for the tactic, and helped me finish 1st.
3rd season I continued on dominating, until patch that is.
I am still winning, but starting to see opponents get more chances in, and score a few more goals now.

1st season avg result saw me win 3-0 home, 2-1 away.
2nd season avg result saw me win 4-0 home, 3-0 away.
3rd season avg result are seeing me win 2-1 home, and 2-1 away.

Basically I am still getting the chances, but they are not going in as much as pre 14.1.4.
And now it seems the AI gets more chances and goals against me.
Only really ever changed something in the tactic midgame if it was really needed.
Start tactic has never been changed - only better players for the tactic over the course of my 3 years so far.

But some of the changes they made to the ME in 14.1.4 are affecting the tactic somehow.

It is a very good tactic - if you have or get the players for it.
If you have a weak physical side that aren't tall and strong, then it can get a little bit harder.

But if you get the right players for this tactic, it literally shines.

Anybody else struggling with this tactic? I just a custom 4-4-2 before doing okay, my players should know the system but I lost the first 3 matches with 2:10 goals :-/ Playing with Freiburg, 2nd season, should be a midtable team.

|INC| Lunalion, Yeah I use it all the time, I guess I could switch it up to Att Movement for weaker opposition but I've always found just leaving it as Def Positioning for all games works for me.

Yes it does make sense to keep the backline tight - but I was asking because, you don't "always" use Def Positioning do you? Against all teams, stronger AND weaker?

I use Def Positioning to keep the defence as strong as possible as I feel the tactic has plenty of goals for so I just want to keep it as tight as I can defensively and I think that helps.
