It's because the bipod originally was planned to be an alternate weapon (deploy, undeploy), but quite early on i decided that wouldn't make much sense and we just made it stay deployed.

in first-person view, the 250-round version of the mg42 has its bipod deployed, but in third-person view, the bipod is folded up. it's not a major issue, but it does stand out as an inconsistency, especially since all other weapons consistently have their bipods deployed in both views

pls remake the turret one I can't use the original

If you want more accuracy btw crawl, that'll make the bipod reduce recoil and spread

Hey Mellamomellamo theres a bug when I use the unversal recoil mod whenever I shoot it the camera starts to shake violently, and the gun shakes with the camera it goes up side to side it even goes down, it gets worse when I try to control the weapons recoil the shaking becomes even more present, also this only effects the mg42 all the other ones are fine,anyways sorry that took so long to read.

Well, 50 rounds is what they had, the 250 round belt one is in the large gear section though

hard to get a good position with cover when you can't mount the gun, but still very good (also 50 rounds is very little for such a fire rate)

exactly, it's impractical but it's awesome hip firing a 1800 rpm machine gun

Normally holding it by the bipod would mean folding it (so that it's movement is minimized) and then just using it as an assist to grab the front of the gun without burning one's hands, although that by itself isn't that much of an assist and in reality using these guns on the move is impractical and hard

That'd be super annoying since the MG41's bipod is very rattly, if you see pictures of people holding it like that they're normally firing for suppression, there's also the fact that usually people carry it with an sling if they do that
