it'd be amazing if it was ever able to be updated to modern stellaris pre-ftl mechanics, it was so cool to experience the stuff in this mod and it'll be very missed o7

The option to go back and revisit it is always there mind you so if you want to revisit you can just go back to an older version thankfully, my current playthrough is on 3.9 as an example

All good take all the time you need to update it and if it has to be reworked fully I'll gladly wait for the new version I'd love to see the unique events that could occur with each stage of a civilization.

Hello all. Just wanted to tell you that, unfortunately, I'm not sure how updatable this mod will be.

For one, it'll definitely require a complete rework code-wise, as the new code could be completely different. However, if things do end up being good and functional, then there's a very exciting future ahead of us.

So, don't use the mod for now with the latest version. It probably won't work. However, feel free to keep an eye out for when it updates.

Here is a potential idea, a world like in Dishonored. Civilization that relies on animal fuel sources (like whale oil) rather than fossil fuels.

So long as you are not a Megacorp, you can always Uplift them, making them a puppet, then integrate them 10 years later. It'll take longer the more primitive they are, but hey, that's the price.

Could you make a new button on the observation outpost to hurry along the civilization's evolution? I was to peacefully annex primitives through infiltration but they just take so long to reach industrial age.

Yep! That's exactly how it works.

Some replace others, like stone no longer goes straight to bronze, but to farming first and THEN bronze, and some are alternatives, such as premature steam age being an alternative to the iron age.

I'm not sure if it's compatible with those mods, however I've not run into any problems with them so far.

And no, this mod does not break game saves. You can install it onto existing save games and it will work just fine, though keep in mind that, as it only adds in new primitive ages, placing it in an existing game won't immediately give you any of the new primitive ages in the galaxy. You'll have to wait for them to progress to one of these stages naturally.

I'm absolutely loving this mod! It gives the primitive species so much more flavor and personality! I am having one issue though. For some reason the uplift option does not appear.

Same as Grocer. I had to track it down after hours and it was never happening before i went back to stellaris today. Must be last update. ^^; I played fine with this exact setup of mods before.
