Try to make this small island look like a WW2 Greek island and it could be great for german paratroopers' invasion... :) It represents this possibility and options as it is a small island, but of strategic importance on the way to Greece. A small piece of paradise in the Mediterranean sea...

I agree with annamor1959, try and stay away from modern buildings. Gives a little bit more versatility IMO. Fantastic start though my man, keep it up!

if you ever do add buildings, don't add futuristic building, they will ruin the island asthetic
