Not too sure why this is the most highly rated helicopter training scenario. It does one or two LZs then stops working. I guess it's just old...

Tony when you launch the mission make sure youre set to something besides Veteran difficulty when on veteran at least in Arma2 3rd person veiw was locked

For some reason when i launch scenario, i am stuck on 1st person only.

I really like it but for my first play through... The mission doesn't continue after the first 3 LZs.

Thanks for the feedback @Attano! I made this mod very quickly as a training tool for myself, and published it in case it was of use to others. Unfortunately I do not have the time to update this.

If you follow the Multiplayer Version link in the description it will take you to Rambo's more polished mod, which may solve your bug problems.

Ive been using this scenario since October of 2020 when I first got the game to learn all kinds of helicopters, train and practice with them.
Unfortunately the scenario seems a bit broken nowadays, when you drop off the infantry the game doesnt give you a new LZ.

Probably just a mod incompatibility and works good with vanilla.

Highly reccomended for all aspiring pilots!

I really like this mod, is the best of it's kind, but, i don't use the vanilla helicopters, i wish so much that we could add any chopper to the list, i would add some from SOAR for start, plus remove all vanilla, and we should have some alert that the LZ is hot, and if possible, where's the fire coming from, to find the best approach angle and change the chopper if we want to. Would be awesome random enemy vehicles (on the ground only), and an Ace Arsenal close to the choppers too and all the MP options, on the SP! Weather, time, chances of stuff like enemy vehicles, level of difficult, etc. =D Would be a dream. It's really a shame for me cuz, again, for me, the vanilla ones are useless, i fly "add-ons" only.

Yer Daddy; The Map Marker is Controlled by the settings in Options>>Game Difficulty tab. Find the Waypoint setting and change it to Show or Fade Out.
Once you get the hang of it I'd recommend Fade Out so you have to rely on spotting the green smoke.

The update has removed the map marker from the screen. When i get in my heli n fly, there is no KM marker on the group position for me to zone in on. Any help or is it just me?

Would love to have a tanoa version.

This has become one of my favorite training mission for helicopters. Just pick up and transport people. Sometimes you will be shot at like in real missions. Perfect!
More helicopter models would make it even better :)

suggest: make option to change max range Landing,make max landing range(example 5km)..can be more intens to take-off and Landing for me..this scenario mission very usefull for me,and give me feel to handle a helicopter...

Great training. a must for helicopter pilots

Those RPGs kinda make this unsatisfying. Their velocity is so high I end up only just spotting them before dying in most cases. Not to mention they usually spawn within 300m of your landing point. Otherwise I really like this.

when I try to start the mission it says ''cannot load texture'' how can I fix this?

great. The yellow box says I am subscribed So now my question is... where do I find it at sense you said it will download automatically? Thank you very much as I am just in the process of learning to fly the Huey. I really like it more then the planes that I have tried and bought. I am thinking of purchasing the helos. Are they worth it? I am also interested in any other modules that have helos in them. I am more interested in the medivac, supply flights etc. then I am in the combat at this time as I know they are a lot more complicated to learn.

I am guess from what you said If I select Multiplayer then the missions will show up. I have never tried multi player at all because I know I am not good yet and I dont want to get others mad at me for being a newbie and crashing to much.

Hi Sarge, if you've subscribed then the mission will be automatically downloaded. To play the mission host a multiplayer game and select the mission from the menu there. I would recommend subscribing to the version linked in the description and using that instead, it has a few nice updates in it.

I have subscribed and still cannot figure out how to download your mission.

I am new and just getting into helos and your mission looks like a great way to help me learn.

How and where do I download and install it from.

It's one of my favorite warmup scenarios, to get my skills unrusted after not flyin' a specific helicopter for a while, but with the recent addition of Tanoa, I've been wondering if this scenario gonna come in Tanoa edition too? Or can I attempt to play it on Tanoa with the addition of the new birds?

Bloody good. Learned lots but a crew member would be good and occationally it $hits itself (if you crash on landing) and loses its current mission marker, would be really helpful if you could "force" a new mission in the same way that you can "force" a repair.

There apparently is a way to add parameters to missions.

Whenever you spawn there are parameters, and you can set things like time and weather too.

see consent to do it, i only wish I knew how!

Best transport mission on steam.

The only reason this is flagged as multiplayer is because unfortunately there's no way to add parameters to a mission unless it is hosted on a server, and setting a mission to hosted automatically flags it up in the workshop as multiplayer.


I don't have the time to update this for mutliplayer compatibility, but if anyone else wants to unzip it and do so they have my full consent.

Somebody needs to copy the files, and make one thats multiplayer.

This is a great training aid for those wishing to learn to fly and land in all sorts of places. That being said, this hasn't been updated in over 2 years so don't expect any requests to get filled.

I use this mission to practice flying ArmA`s helicopters, very recommended and thanks for making the mission..

You can't change the number of players. Can you re-upload this so it can be edited? It has a lot of potential but Id like to use to to train with my friends.
