As soon as I power this vessel and turn on Dampeners it rolls over onto its back. I'm about to start grinding to see if the Remote Control is upside down.

i currently have a error in the pam script for some reason it give me a fatal eror when its docked and due to that it will stop working in total until i undock it and then the system scaning takes over and does the job again, is this known problem or is there a fix

I don't understand the negativity. I needed an Atmo Miner that I could dock on a Medium Hydrogen Freighter and detach on planets with atmospehere and mine. This ship is wonderful. Does it have 4 large grid storage tanks .. no. But it is well balanced and hauls 300K of ore per load. It obviously needs to be somewhat level at full load (it has more UP thrusters than Backward thrusters), but it can easily turn around and get out of tunnels .. or back out if you maintain it somewhat level. Thanks for the wonderful ship.

Could we get a Hydrogen capable miner? Currently Cepheus has asteroid and atmospheric miners, but none that work too well for gravity and no atmosphere

I stopped using it as it tends to get stuck in PAM mining, it's profile is slightly too big for the tunnel digged

Being perfectly horizontal during flight is no problem, but unfortunately it does not fly on any angle as it just drops like a stone. If you have ore with you it gets worse as you have to take it all out by hand defeating the purpose of this ship.

I do wish to add that it looks great, but looks comes secondly unfortunately in this game.

Beautiful build. It doesn't drill at angles well due to not enough backwards thrust, and with PAM it leaves enough ridge between the two drills to stop the ship's forward progress while drilling. While it's equipped with PAM, it kind of demands manual handling to avoid that. Might be different when drilling at perfectly level. But on the plus side, in addition to looking amazing, it's little and cheap to built, making it a great first flyer to mine out enough ore to build something bigger and stronger. I could never make something look this good, even without the tiny, tiny block count of this miner :)

@Rakwar Miners like this are mega useful for the start of new games on planets. They make starting so much easier. A "conservative design" could not have been better said. I mean you can build this thing with hand tools.

No, the moon doesn't have an atmosphere. All other planets and moons do though, so it will work on these.

Do ships like this also work on the moon as well as earth?

lol yes i do 10x to take the drudgery of endless mineing out of the game. It is real fun and satisfying for a long time then you realise you got no time to design and build all the things you want. So automating them was something that did not occur to my synaptically challenged brain when i commented

Maybe with Inventory x10, but you can automate this and have like 10 of them mining at the same time.

2 drill miner is just to small i found. Its actually faster to just jet pack there and mine and the 2-3 trips you quickly make you will beat the miner in load and time. 4 drill and up is the only way to go.
