Thank you .. Take Care and Be Safe
I have not worked on my mod since the last update I released. Actually, I have not even played Atlas for a few weeks. Atlas was my primary game for over a year, and I still consider it one of the best I have played, but recently I have become more involved in other games.
Take care and Be Safe ... the Old Gamer
I have an area on that one where I have all of my custom items set out for testing. All of them were still there and being rendered properly, so the update should not cause you to lose anything. I tried crafting and placing a new item and that worked. The lighthouse lamp still works. I tried opening and closing some doors and windows and those were fine.
Thank you again Xylch for your work on this mod, it is very cool, i love it.
A little time spent making a save .. will save Many Hours of Pain .. I personally keep at least 3 backups (as _ Save 1@time of day) etc.
Unless you have a backup of the game you can restore, I do not think there is any way to bring back what was lost this way.
It would be a better design if the button to start the game was disabled while it was downloading updates, but I do not know of anything I can do as a mod maker to change the way the game handles the mods.
I wish I could be more helpful, but all I can do is offer some advice on how to avoid it in the future.
But I have a problem, since the last "upgrade", "mise à jour" in french, all my structures built with "rustic building" disapared.
I am really sad because I spent a lot off hours to build a pretty village...
How can I fix it ?
Thank you for create cool things !
** But if you do .. maybe you could look at RH and LH doors .. I heard it can be done .. but it takes some work doing it. ** .. Just a thought and Thank you
That is not a very intuitive place, but it made more sense internally where I separated the items under roofs into those that had shingles and those the were just wood. I do not know if it could be changed now without breaking anything already built with them.
To the game, they are the same as the wood roof doors, except for their appearance, so they will keep the rain out.
@Floki I was talking about making windows that snap into the openings in walls built on ships, not into gunports. Doors on ships are handled about the same they are on land, so it mostly involves making some appropriate meshes. However, I think gunport windows would also be good and I agree it would be easier to make a new gunport item to do that.
What I've done for the time being is turn door frame around _ but that puts the wall out of alignment with others. Thank you
I will not be changing the pickup time. Allowing unrestricted pick up is appropriate for things like furniture, but I think parts of a building should be more permanent.
These may not be the responses you wanted to see, but thank you for your suggestions.
