You can pause with P in multiplayer (it'll pause when it's your turn)

Is there any way to pause the game so i can actually observe whats happening?

By the way, if the game is paused because of the congress, you can just press shift and enter simultaneously to force next turn.

Hey I think this mod is broken, I cant get the turn to turn over after the first Congress, like the turn after I mean when they tell you the results. Also is it delibrate that you cant stop the turns?

This is a mod for PVP that replaces the Diplomacy Ribbon.

It allows regular players to toggle stats to show other players' food, productivity, population, etc.

Special optimization: I've centered the part that shows the player's name and used a scrollbar to show the name that is too long.

Yes you shift-enter at congress.
You can get a lua error if you are using other mods (especially the one messing with the UI) - it is compatible with BBS, BBG, MPH of course.
You can use it alone basically you d be watching an AI battle royale in that case.

Mod doesnt work. For those who want to waste their time and keep trying, please dont read the following comments.

You need DLC to see the spectator role. Even you have the mod 'Gathering Storm' and successfully select 'Spectator', the game will stop after the middle ages.

Because there is an event called 'World Congress' which require everyone to vote. As you are a spectator, you cant vote and the game will stuck there and never continue.

I'm sure somebody with only a minor level of knowledge could probably adjust some of the mod data to install the mod locally in such a way to allow standard and R&F spectators, but I don't know how all that works with steam

Watch AI Fight allows you to reveal the rest of the map and autoplay to some extent, but I've noticed some weird things about the autoplay feature for whatever civ you're watching, and doesn't have as many features

well, I have half a clue why it might be the case, but don't 100% know how to parse it

After poking around the GitHub files (luckily my beginner-level knowledge of programming is not a hindrance with those), I found that the spectator auto-end turn is in the *game creation* options, not the UI options

That being said, @<;)))< , even if I have Gathering Storm enabled but use Standard ruleset, it doesn't seem to allow me to pick a spectator. I don't know precisely why that is (my minimal poking around the github suggests there *should* be some standard and R&F support), but it appears to be the case

also potentially relevant to my issue is that in singleplayer the banner by which you can see all the techs and player scores is not scrollable and seems to be sort of glitching. I presume this is because it's still trying to follow all the AI players on each of their turns, as this didn't happen in the simultaneous turns mode

Trying this mod for singleplayer out on mac because don't have access to the civ vi dev tools and tuner for AI watching, partially so I could record the tech timings the AIs get out in the wild

Problem is that, even with auto-end turn disabled, I never get prompted to end my turn and the AI turns just keep moving.

Tried to use multiplayer mode with me being sole human, no help.
Hotseat I couldn't even watch the game
disabled all my UI mods except for expansions, problem still occurs
briefly treid out multiplayer helper *just in case* it made any sense to use, still no

Is there any hotfix I can do on my end to try to get this to happen?

@Man of Common Sense: Play a multiplayer game alone or tick/untick (can t remember which) the "auto-end turn" option when you create the game.

@elroyflynn100: not really it is because you see everything so the computer load is bigger unfortuantely

I wanted to do this with the 2020 scenario for reasons, and it just doesnt seem to give the spectator civ option

When I choose the spectator leader in a single-player game, the autoplay keeps running. I don't see any button to pause. It only stops when there's some diplomatic issue. It seems that I am a leader in this match with no city and units. I have to respond to other leaders' diplomatic requests.
Under the AI player's portrait, there are a very long list and some buttons like score, yield, total, trees, empire, army. But none of them work when I click them. And these lists are full of test1,2,3,4, which is completely useless.
Could you tell me how can I fix it?

is thre any way to make it stop lagging so much? And also the map keeps flashing back and forth from no FOW to FOW for no resean. Also fast movment is on so the game goes by way too fast. So, overalll this mod is laggy, too fast, requires gathering storm and no way to pause it go go slower and hard to look at with the flashing lights of FOW going on and OFF, imposibe to move around as well with all the lag too. (the lag is from the FOW going on and offf btw
