illiterate players can write notes. although if your choosing illiterate it's pretty dumb to get a book mod lol.

This mod is an absolute godsend, I've hated that Engineer (and ONLY engineer) had stuff only it could know since Engineer was even added to the game. D:

The 2 can be used together. That wasn't the best solution, I should probably remove the guide from Farming Time and only have it here.

does this work with the farming time mod? (what i mean by that is cuz soul filcher farming time has a complete book to teach all magazines magazines)

is there a way to "turn off" maintenance skill books? grinding maitenance is kind of broken

It seems the distribution or chance for the maintenance books appearing is extremely low. Just raided the library (university) in Louisville and not a single maintenance book, though i got at least 3 complete farming books.

I am playing on a dedicated server and I can't seem to find these books. Is there something to it?

whats it do
-Maintenance skill books.
-New Complete Guides teach all magazine recipes for Cooking, Mechanics, Engineering and so on.
-New survivor notes teach recipes for the bombs that only an Engineer can make.
-Players can use pens and notebooks to copy recipes from magazines or complete guides, this is something planned for servers where some magazines can be hard to find and trade.

i dont know how it does in game....

@Saxon Crusader: Hi, I want to add the option to write the books too. Either copy them from an existing book, or by having high skill, without a book to copy from.

You can add them to the mod that reorganises nook names. Find the mod folder and then go media/lua/shared/translate, there you can locate the language and then the file with items'names.

I love your mods. c: Thank you for the hard work. I have a quick question tho! I'm someone who uses the mod that reorganizes the skillbooks names from "xxx for Beginners" to "xxx Vol.1: Beginners". So now the books from your mods are all over the place while the vanilla books are in a neat line. Is there a way for me to rename these books myself in the files somehow? I'd like them all to line up nicely. :)

I'm working on it. No need to send me error messages. Item spawns have been changed again, so I'll have to update mods again to fix them.

Well, still not working. I checked the version and it is the last patch released, and i'm only using your mods so i don't think it is a mod conflict. I still receive red box and nothing is spawning (i can't access the error messages can you walk me through it?)

im playing IWBUMS with the new version. Im reinstalling the game and the mods and if i still get the issues paste here the errors

What build are you playing on? Could you send me any error messages you get?

Filcher, i'm having trouble with spawning items. Every one of your mods don't spawn the items except for cleaning time (the recipes are ok on the crafting menu)

Cool. I hope it doesn't come back. If you try to use both mods together again let me know.

I can't reproduce the bug anymore. It might have had to do with the has been read mod which was installed at the time but that seems to be fixed now. I'll let you know if the bug pops up again

hmm i'll get back to you with more info. it could be that one of the mods im using is interfering with the books

I couldn't replicate the bug here. So without more information I can't fix what you're experiencing.

Sorry, probably should have said, my bad! It's any skill books. I would try to read them, and it would pop up with an error. Hopefully this helps some!

Having the same Issue as Alpaca with reading not working properly. Been trying to figure out what the problem was, glad I found it

having an issue with books being unreadable due to errors in the latest 41.52 patch. Haven't been able to get the logs but it should be reproducable.

It should be fixed now. The mod was updated so item spawns work with the 41.51 changes.
