This is THE sub I love to use, was the first one I went through a long game with, and I find myself just still coming back to it every time I reload the game to try again. I was wondering if anyone has used this recently, and if it still works or if there is a better updated version? Faroe's comment regarding the coilguns makes me wonder if I need to go into the editor and mess with things before I get it running. Any help would be great!

I found an issue with the coil guns. The battery feeding them needs to be swapped with a supercapacitor now. It isn't the biggest deal since you can just wire the other SC to the guns but it's good to know.

This is the sub I think of when I think of Barotrauma. Amazing sub my guy!

The Black Bass has now been updated for Barotrauma's New Frontiers!

Best sub in the game by far.

Newest update removes pre-filled toolboxes (sorry for those who liked them) and removes the front railgun for a bit of optimization. I've also set fabrication & armory cabinet(s) to be on the newer autofill feature. There's a few other misc. changes you can find around, and this will most likely be my last update on the submarine unless a new update breaks it.

The best ship in the workshop so far, sadly its underused. I've flushed many traitors out the bottom and color the lights to turn it into a real party sub. one time I accidentally let in a mudraptor doing this and chaos almost ensued. 10/10 would nuke again.

Yeah I'll try to go through and mess with waypoints someday to see if I can get the AI to finally realize that there's a door in front of them but as of now it's using the auto generated waypoints.

Easily the most op ship i've piloted and well crafted. only problem is with AI, some doors they just cant open and dont like to do their jobs, but jeez i've had yet to pilot another sub that is this easy to control and defend. great job

Maybe the hypothetical upper-left coil gun could be right where the bottom-left coil gun is, but reversed? Right by the engine.

It's more of a personal preference thing, I should specify. I generally prefer symmetrical gun placements that allow a ship to be effective in any direction,rather than having blind spots. There is a 1 rail gun on top, and 1 on the bottom, that's good. But there's 2 coil guns on the bottom and 1 on the top. They should be a coil gun to the left of the upper rail gun, because that's a blind spot to me. Other than that , looks good.

The guns are placed in a specific way as to not be able to shoot the sub while also having a wide view range to shoot critters from, if you could go into detail about the gun placement I might be able to do something about it.

I like the aesthetics, but the gun placement isn't very good.

They should, but I have noticed a single problem with the left door of the bunk, they'll just walk up to it and not be able to open it, even though they should. That's about it.

Do AI operate well on this sub?
