try using gigantic scrap walls only, as it might cut down the lag a bit

@Eddy 1000x1000 is possible (you can use cheat engine to change the map size) but it would be very laggy as it would be 4 times as many walls which is already laggy enough.

1000x1000 isn't currently possible within the map maker, if I recall correctly. 500x500 is the maximum.
