There might be an issue with this mod affecting turrets targeting ships. I have a space base and my Assault Cannon Turrets wouldn't shoot at anything. As soon as i disabled the mod they started working fine. I am using a defensive AI block to target over the 800m limit and it works fine without the mod. I removed all the support mods too so it might be one of them.

I haven't been involved in the MES or behaviours side of ACS so am unlikely to have much insight or be much help.

Combat phase could be an issue though if that is happening in your save. I recall that giving Splitsie grief when the feature was first released.

Do you have any idea why drones won't spawn during my attacks on ASSERT installations? Is it due to Combat Phases, or something?

why do the cargo ships just shoot up straight into outer space whenever you attack them it makes it impossible to even take it down i can't even get a shot on by the time its in space

I just pushed a decently sized change to Assertive Loot. Should fix some of the issues people have been having with controllers/radial menu, as well as some minor crashes that I found myself.

It was pretty substantial in the back-end, so please say something if you have any crashes pointing towards Assertive Loot (here, on the assertive loot page, or on the ZM discord)

So when i add this mod, it crashes my game when i use a controller and i open my build menu.
Not sure if i can fix it on my end or not but i thought i would make a note of that. amazing mod overall.:steamhappy:

No known bugs with the unlocks. Did you loot them by unloading them on to a ship/base, or by grabbing them with your engineer? The unlocks work off the player inventory, so if they didn't end up in your suit then they won't show up in the G menu.

I searched around and couldn't find guidance. I have looted SG Assert Ion and Hydrogen thrusters from cargo. Now, in the 'Toolbar Config' menu, I only see the Atmospheric versions of those thrusters. Is there a defect in the mod right now? Something known which I need to check in our server config? Or is this something new.

question how does one stop the base from spawning drones ? i disabled power and antena and those things just keep on coming

Never mind! Did the /MES.GESAP command and it seems a whole bunch of factions have spawned in. Not sure if I just needed to wait or if the command triggered it but it fixed it.

Yeah I've noticed I have the same issue as Jackronym where there isn't a faction.

Hey Splitsie, (Amazing Mod by the way) i was attaining a listing base and some of the drones were factoroum rail gun drones, it was just stuck to the terrain as it did not have enough thrust to lift off the moon surface.

Severe issue of unknown origin with mod

ACS appears completely nonfunctional, with the faction not existing in worlds with the mod. Troubleshooting only leads to showing as if the world doesn't have the mod at all, and loading a world with just it and dependencies leads to the same result. Again, origin of issue is unknown, it may be my system or the mod itself

So tonight I encountered the small grid "Assert Factorum Railgun Drone" guarding an Assert Listening Post on the moon. The drones crashed lightly into the surface, seemingly not quite enough thrust for 0.25g

It's also terrifying that Assert is adapting Factorum designs.

big fan of these mods, love to steal these awesome thrusters :)

would however suggest fixing those ships where the AI remote block is placed right between 2 hydro tanks, making the ship basicly impossible to capture, i assume thats not what was intented?

allso, cant wait for the next AA season, best series you have made to date :)

I just want the atmospheric cargo ships and slightly smarter NPC factions, the loot seems to be of the type that would break industrial overhaul, is there a way around that?

î need help, my friend and me are playing with this mod and have noticed Assert outposts spawning "Factorum Raildrone" and "DS_Assault_Support" without us even attacking them.
I can remove them with Admin but they seem to be comming back after a few hours.

Any idea what is happening? or at least how i can disable those 2 Drones from spawning?

I... never actually thought to test controller viability for the Loot blocks. If I can't figure out how to make it play nice in the next 2 hours or so it's likely to end up being... Monday, maybe Tuesday before I can take another look. (Author of Assertive Loot)

Hello Splitsie big fan of your work. I have encountered a problem here. I usually play with a controller for my main movement and main building style. I have wrist issues that prevent me from keep my hands a keyboard long term. Anyway upon using a controller when i bring up the radical menu under the mod list #1, #2 ect it lists all the mod blocks i have loaded into my world. Some how i believe it showing the ACS npc blocks in my menu and when i hover over them it instantly crashes my game. as far as i can tell my other mods work correctly and i can select them properly with the raidical menu. I was wondering if you had any insight on a course of action i can take other then using a keyboard to place my mod blocks?

I installed ACS package to my dedicated server on havoc. I went in to my client area and my server name has changed to unnamed and several basic and crucial settings have been changed on my server. Is this due to ACS? For example, wolves have been enabled and my game was switched from survival to creative. I did not do that.

Wait, so does this mod add additional blocks to the game? I saw "enhanced thrusters" in its loot description and was wondering if it adds new blocks to the game because I already spent a long time disabling magic items such as Ion Thrusters and Reactors. If this adds "enhanced ion thrusters" then it adds more magic to the game.

playing with this on Mars, Out of curiosity - is the Assert ships with atmo thrusters suppose to fly 2KM above what normal atmo thrusters can reach?

I destroyed like 10 ASSERT bases and got to -1500 reputation with them but the drone operations didn't spawn. Do I have to take out a cargo ship for that to happen?

@Spitsie: Hi, i just discovered that there's a missing conveyor missing between the Assault Cannon Turret and the rest of the base. It's right under the turret so it can't access to the ammunition. Installation called "Pirate Stronghold"

I am new to modding this game. Love these additional factions but they dont seem to seek me out for a fight. They just path from A-B and for exploring its incredible. Im looking for a reason to build base defences that isnt quite as aggressive as reavers. I don't want to have to move if i get discovered. ORKs looked promising but it doesnt seem to be working. Anyone have any suggestions?

So over the months I haven't been able to get any Planetary ships to spawn on Downloaded Planets. (the little bases still spawn research outpost etc)
Planets include -
Helghan
Satreus
Exolia
Nova Prime (pretty sure)

I have a custom star system with all the planets spawned in and checking with /MES.GESAP works when I spawn on Earth.
Other mods like Imber, Parralax, CULT all seem to work normally

well, the Chasqui finally got tired of hanging around just inside 2km range and left with the wasps... now hurriedly getting some charge into a battery inside the cave :)
That was an... interesting start to the playthrough.

soo.... we just started a new server session with ACS and are having Chasqui ships be somewhat annoying. we are calmly digging into a mountain (server age less than 2 hr, well away from any assert installation visible) and a Chasqui flies overhead at ~ 1.8km range, which irritates him apparently and now we have 2 wasps parked above us wrecking anything we build outside (all our power options for now). we have basic pistols only, which won't help much. Would this be considered normal?

in the ACS drone list are there any SG drone or they are all LG??
If they are only LG would it possible for SG to be be added... so you can have some fun with the SG fighter?

Could I leave out Assertive Loot? I like the idea of stuff you can't grind down and have to reatatch and loot in general, but I don't want the extra thruster stuff. Just not my thing.
So yeah, does this work like having MES dynamically add modded guns and shields and such or is that dependancy absolutely 100% necessary?

i have an issue: on my old save, bases and ships spawns without faction (just Base, not ASSERT.Base) and firing each other.
Starting a new game solves this problem, but it so sad to start it again.

quick question, does the ai control block always explode, no matter how carful you are being when trying to take over the ship with cooperative takeover? this doesn't seem to happen with other modded ships like imber.
