this comment section is most likely dead but i have suggestions for some moves:

1: down air can be replaced with a kirby-like down air from smash ultimate, or the other suggestion to replace down air with the current up special.

2: the flying carpet should swap places with down strong as its a forward attacking move, or you can simply make the carpet faster in a way.

3: if it's not too much work, maybe replace shy guy getting bigger (up strong) with a gourmet guy (paper mario)

other than that i agree with @WickedSynth on the current up special to be replaced with up air (fly guy), down air and the knockback/force on the moves
i love this character and i do hope you still read suggestions like this!

So creative, though i have some issue with him as a whole.

His up special just feels inconsistent with other cast of characters. his up special should be his down air, and remove the ability to regain jumps. up air should be up special. side smash is way too overtuned as most of his attacks are also. Just way too much knockback on everything. especially his neutral special.

His down air always clips if youre too low and cancels it out making down air a very bad attack option for low ground fighting. Hes very interesting as a character but feels bad in some situations and just way too strong. If youre looking for something balanced, this currently isnt. Which is sad because hes so interesting mechanically.

Simply amazing, so much creativity in the moveset, extremely fun play style requiring creativity from the player, overall just an absolutely fantastic representation of one of my favorite mario characters.

Eh it wasn't for me. I realized I really don't care about competitive, and the general vibe there made me incredibly anxious when I was even just lurking there. Too much negativity and seriousness for something that's pretty much just supposed to be fun experience-building for me, sorry.

honestly just wanted to say that this is probably my favorite character on the workshop to play. like there are plenty others that are really well made and designed (this being one of them) and original characters kick ass but shy guy is just so FUN

@New Super Mario Bros. Wii his down special is Stilt Guy! With it activated, you can take steps forward or back, and each step makes a hit near his feet! You can also exit out of it with just about any other input, and he'll go into the air where he was on the stilts! You can use it as a tricky option to combo into an aerial, and avoid low-reaching attacks!

Quite possibly my favourite character mod for this game! (I've tried most of them). Such a unique playstyle and moveset!

Hey I really like your move-set for shy guy and how you made the animations so wacky. But I have some suggestions being neutral special and Down smash. Those two moves seem to have really high knockback and kills at mid percents( even characters like Etalus gets killed at mid.) I feel like moves like those should kill at higher percents more around the 100 range. Other than that good stuff really cant wait to see what kinda other tweaks and characters you have planned

Hello @Lotus | Deno! Taunting at ledge resulting in an SD is fully intentional! Since taunting is unoptimal as it is, I thought it would be funny if taunting recklessly would result in something as silly as SDing while you're shaking your booty! I'll be implementing an additional taunt soon though, so you can use that if you'd like to taunt but don't want to jump!

Hey @SAKK ! Shy Guy actually has an incredibly versatile and long-reaching recovery by combining his options! Shy Guy will gain back both jumps, his airdodge, and his wall jump from Magic Carpet, and can wall jump out of Jack-in-the-Box! And, if you land Jack-in-the-Box, you'll gain back your double jump, and can use the move again! So long as you use your tools creatively, you should recover just fine!

improve up special PLEASE, he despritely needs a recovery move, either that or have the carpet move up

I like him! If I had a choice of who to pick to replace Piranha Plant it would be Shy guy. There are a few problems such as:

-Taunting near the edge makes it SD.

- Up tilt is a little weak imo

-Just a annoyance to me, pls take away the Mario hop sfx. I hate wavedashing with it!

@Shmepppppp aaah gosh darn, I thought I worked that out. I'll have another update in about a week or so to rework some of his attributes, and that one will be a top priority to fix!

Great mod! The Copy ability is a little buggy though. You can keep gaining height from it.
