Hello author, the models IMO (except for the helm) are very nice ! UNFORTUNATELY I personally think the texture is really awful it looks like concrete gear, if you are still modding for kenshi you should consider making a metallic texture, I'm sure a lot of people would like it because the design is really cool !

The blueprint can be bought off any vendor who also sells the blueprint for the Unholy Chest armor, which is most armor stores but it is randomized as to whether or not it shows up. If it's too hard to find, or if you want to add it to research or something, feel free to edit your version of the mod. Those things are easy to change in Kenshi and you should be able to easily customize where and how it shows up.

Agreed. If some dirtied textures from heavy plate hive armour took place on the plate parts, it'd be perfect.

Three big problems with this mod, the texture is pretty awful, the helmet is ugly, and the fauldrons are part of the leg's rather than the chest armor (which means you can't use the legs with any other chest armor).

other then that, it's pretty solid, just needs a touch up.

I've had a few people request an NCE patch. I'm away at the moment and can't work on the mod just now, but when I'm back around I do plan on making one. It shouldn't take too long - the NCE mod explains the number changes it uses in detail, so I can just make a patch that applies those changes to this armor.

Any hope of getting an NCE pactch? looks great and would love to outfit my guys in this but cut efficiency blows goats.

You should really regard this as a quality set. What you did with this is actually very fitting for the artwork style of the game. Some of the textures don't color very well but that's probably quite fixable without using color map mods. Most of all you need to balance the stats better. The cut resistance and efficiency is way too much. Best numbers i've found are 60 for blunt, 70ish for cut resist and you can push around 90 for efficiency without it feeling broken.

Super nice looking though and one of the best armor mods for humans i've found. Most are silly, stupid, and seem to totally ignore the theme of kenshi. So still overall is excellent and actually doesn't give itself enough credit describing the armor as if it was made from junk. Its actually much nicer than most. More armors like this pls.

I agree. Sadly, it's impossible to just copy the textures of an existing item in a newly-created item like this, so I have to experiment around until I get something that works. Let me know what you think about the new version.

Thanks for all the good feedback! I added some mild weathering to the armor, so now it should blend in a bit more seamlessly into vanilla Kenshi textures. The file size should also now be significantly smaller.

I have not added this armor to mercenaries, though you're certainly welcome to in your own game. I considered doing so, but I've instead decided to make a mod that adds a new faction of mercenaries who use this armor and my other armor mods, which I am currently working on.

Just a minor thing but I think that weather protection should be added to the armor pieces. As the vanilla mercenary plate has around a 50% acid protection rating.

Hey this looks fantastic, great work dude. I haven't had time to play Kenshi recently but this is definitely going on my next playthrough. I suggest you add screenshots of the in-game armor stats.

It looks amazing as it looks practical, low-key, and gives more protection while still holds that feeling which fits for mercenaries, also set apart mercenaries from those major factions' soldiers

Berserk wasn't my inspiration for it, but now that you mention it, I can see it. And I'm glad to hear that frighteningly underfed NPC finally got her day.

All that's left to add is the faction colors, barring any major issues with the existing pieces. I may change the texture for the chainmail chausses - it looks great zoomed in relatively close, but I've noticed that zooming out far enough does some weird things to it. The base game's chainmail compensated for this by having a pretty heavy grey overlay, and I may do something similar.

I know I said I'd do pants but the idea of a helmet really struck me. Pants are next. As usually, let me know how you like the new textures. They're something I plan to continue to fiddle with as needed.

yea man iv been useing the shit outa this mod. i ened pants. maybe remesh the masked helm to match it better? and boots arnt as important iv been useing the leather combat boots from another mod. one critsisem i have is that i cant figure out how to put all merc's in this armor as a defualt lmao. but thank you sincerly for this mod its what iv been needing for my greenlander only games

Definitely make a set with pants/legs, this is a great.

You could always just make a copy of existing boots and tweak their stats and information to go with the chest piece and pants.
