this is a great mod but it's so hard to fight if you drop your weapon very realistic but i don't this it goes well with this mod, i suggest removing that you drop your weapon because it makes it more difficult to fight cause you die instantly due to you just having a side arm. ( or at least make it an option to where you don't drop your weapon).

Took a shot scripting AI to pickup weapons on the ground but BIS made it stupid hard to gather them up - like ridiculously

Can you please make settings. The ducking shooting hands out of hand thing literally causes all of my players to rage because we get shot in the foot and our gun teleports 100 feet into enemy lines.
The falling over thing also randomly causes players to GET UP, and get killed when they have no gun in their inventory anymore.

this makes it so that units are basically unkillable unless you headshot them, needs a fix

Whenever you have these problems, do you have ACE mounted? Maybe that could be a reason why because of how ACE handles damage.

I can confirm what some of the other comments are saying below. Right now, it is very unbalanced and not working all that well. Enemy units with no body armor to speak of tank multiple mags of varying calibers being shot at them, and while I have seen them actually running around, they still seem to go into loops of prone --> crouch --> repeat.

I'll be keeping my eye on the mod because I really like the concept of it, but it needs to be tested much more extensively and refined, especially if the author claims for it to work with ACE. I only tested this in vanilla, but if its this buggy without modifications, there is no chance it will work fine with a major game changing mod like ACE.

From playing with it a bit more, I feel the damage reduction in the arms and legs are fine but maybe they are a bit to un-killable in those limbs. I also personally like the weapon drop feature but with how long after dropping their weapons the AI survive, it starts to feel awkward shooting at them, so much so I just ignored them and continued walking.
How can I see this mod be improved? I believe if the damage tables to the head and torso were adjusted so the AI aren't godlike that would be a great start. As you stated the AI prefer a sidearm over picking up a rifle, I would think is probably a way to program their behavior so they prioritize looting a rifle vs using a pistol. Just food for thought.

To conclude, I have faith in this mod and I would absolutely love to see it polished but in its current state, I'm not sold.

I don't like to complain, but I got a bit of a bone to pick with this mod and it's only because I want to see it improved.
First off, great concept, but when I was just playing around with the mod while testing, I dumped 2 mags of 7.62x51 into an AI’s head while he was wearing a standard combat helmet but he just shrugged it off and killed me in one hit. I also find the AI will survive 2+ mags to the chest as well, and it doesn't help when you hit them they will start doing infinite squats. HOWEVER, I did find that if you shoot an enemy in stealth they will die in the torso or head on the first shot.

I did some testing. You can kill enemies, but you need to hit the head and chest. People however do seem to be quite invincible when shot in the legs. When they're struck in the chest, the AI will often do squats with their gun twenty feet behind them. They'll go up and down like a cheeki breeki while staring at you with the angry determination of a drunk Russian.

If you are so much as touched by an explosion, your rifle will go flying out of your hands. I haven't witnessed surrendering yet.

I like the damage model itself, but the mod needs serious work. It doesn't seem to work terribly well with AAPM and ACE3 compatibility seems to be a little... spotty.

This mod is incredibly broken. The AI doesn't pick up its weapons when they are shot out of their hands, and the hit detection for their weapons is broken as fuck, resulting in a shot to the torso causing them to drop their gun. Furthermore, the AI is nigh unkillable for some reason.

I don't know who the hell has been giving THIS four stars...

Love this mod , but I have found that a few (10+) 6.5mm point blank to bare chest does not kill units, can someone confirm?

If the AI don't have sidearms, then they're just left sitting there. The event handler doesn't notify their group leaders to rearm. Ai naturally rearm in vanilla, leaving the command out causes diminishing returns for this mod in particular.

@Alkatjo Going off the description, they ain't meant too they switch to side arms, not sure you can even make ai pickup a weapon from an event handler. i could be wrong

Hi, good mod in general but i have the problem that the ai enemys almost never die. i can shoot all my mags on them and some of them still move and toggle arround. is that mod overdone or is it a problem with my other mods: ASRAI3 + CBA.

im new in arma 3 but i played the 1st part of the series for about 2 hours, i know its not that much but i saw that arma 3 is much better. now i saw this mod (the first mod i saw for arma 3) and i think it will bring arma`s realism up, to a new level.

Kinda more of the same to report. A few other addons do most these things but they are broken now thanks to Contact breaking CBA. I was hoping this would fill the gap but I can't say I've seen any difference. I shoot guys and they just do their little spaz animation like normal. Shooting, legs and hands, same deal. No surrenders, no gun drops, no fall downs, nothing.
