other maps are interesting but okay maps
I wanted to finish it up (expand it past the elevator) and maybe upload it separately, but Garry's Mod broke a thing in the mapping tools in one of the updates (which affected the map greatly) and it kind of killed my motivation.
for 2 years
On a more serious note, I might someday. But it's a miracle I found motivation to update it thus far in the first place.
it being laggy as hell stops me from favouriting tho
Good to see you publishing chief
gm_suburban is surrounded by holes that go to the skybox.
gm_hugecity is super laggy, especially if you fly over the city in some aircraft.
Also I've seen some messing textures here and there that I haven't fixed yet.
Glad you're enjoying it nonetheless though.
That's a promising name
ent_remove backup_temp
To get rid of all NPCs and disable the respawning use this:
ent_fire npc_* kill
May require sv_cheats to be set to 1 works anyway on my end.
Any DLCs shouldn't be needed, if you see any missing textures or other weird stuff -- let me know. I know there are some missing textures on gm_suburban and gm_industrialdistrict, I'll fix it soon enough.
i came back and i see it on the front page.. Good job man!
Standard for updates is it's in any way better which is way easier do accomplish, so there is a solid chance that those maps will get updated over time.
Thanks for the suggestion, and for playing.
sometimes i find thinking of the bugs as that its a gamebreaking bug when i fix it i feel completed and want to fix more of the maps problems, idk h ow that would work for you though,
All those problems could be fixed by shrinking the map (keeping everything, just making it smaller), and adding more detail. Unfortunately I'm lazy, and that is a big task, also the map is called hugecity. Wouldn't be huge if I shrunk it. So I just marked it as a failure and moved on.
