This ship at its normal size is great, but I really liked min maxing it for rifts with its feel.
But I scaled this to a size 12 to 14 with rather interesting results (granted I was using a fair amount of computer cores with one sub dedicated to 200% power subsystem to achieve this with good results.
I only tried up scaling it for fun.....did not expect to see a light weight Dreadnaught that worked.
Some changes may of not been fully in theme, but dang this ship was really nice.
Glad it works for you Falkenherz!
My design philosophy was from my first playthrough where I found it easier to mass farm Titanium so I made 'large' ships out of it to kind of fill the gap for more dangerous space. Toyed around with more Trinium based ships with HON though. Glad it works out!
That I feel like would make a good rule for general workshop ship design. Make it Iron/titanium, and replace stuff that can't be made from those with frameworks, so everyone at every game stage can access at least the spaceframe of the ship.
Also, on the. . . Uh, wings? I hate to call them wings. Maneuvering outriggers? Yeah, that.
On those, there is a great framework there behind a single armor panel that is great for a long/thin hangar bay as well.
