Currently hunting the big guy and so far I can say that my team of 2 (90+) and 4 (70+) aren't making any progress fighting melee. I can kill the normal foul hounds with no issue.

is there any specific place foulhounds live? I have this mod and the mist ghouls and I see mist ghouls quite often but I never see foulhounds and I want to make sure the mod still even works

Also it looks like one of the general modifcation mods adds backpacks for the hounds, it probably requires the genmod though

The pelt can't be dropped off. The mod doesn't have any dialog for that at the queen.The best you can do is sell it. It looks like this mod isn't finished. If the author is cool with it ill finish the dialog. but ill need permission to do so.

So, did anyone figure out where to drop off the Blackhound pelt?

The "mother" of the fouldhouds was too easy to kill (so the reward was also too much). I also play with grievewraiths and mist ghouls and I found those way harder. Noneless, keep up those great mods !

@PhYsiC: Same here... I even went to the Western Hive Queen to give it to her personally, since the description says quote: "No doubt they'd be very pleased to have it's pelt on the Queen's throne..." But the Queen just says "EEEEEEEEH!!!" :(

Can anyone tell me how to collect the bounty? I have the hide after killing the dog worth 120k but it says on the bounty that it can be exchanged for 1,000,000 to the hivers. I've gone to all the hive villages in Vain and seen no police areas or anyone who triggers dialog from me having the pelt in my inventory/backpack. Also visited the west hive queen to no avail. Please help <3

For people trying to use the tame mod for these, the way you have to do it is let their food bar get low enough BUT if you are running a no hunger mod you can't normally tame them but here is a work around.

Open the editor find your save, look at platons. It will be one of the wolves Platoons from there you need to figure out which is the right one.

I recomend you take note of it's status and compare those, after you figure out which hound it is go to medical status and find the "hung" Line set the value to 1.1 and when you start up the game the hound will be tamable.

My man you need to adjust the spawn rates for these things, I spent hours looking and couldn't find one, Night time goes by quick and with such a small window and reallllly low chances finding these things is a major pain in the ass

Is the black hound meant to spawn at his den or roaming around vain? As another poster mentioned already there is a drug peddler town right next to the den and ive searched all over vain for this beast.

I don't know if I am stupid or its just the newness to the game, I have no idea where or how I am meant to turn in the bounty for the Black Hound. Tell me if you know how please.

Could make an Foghounds Version of this mod, make in an little smaller with Navy and purple colours, with the tame version following a Fog Prince while having wildlife version on the outskirts of Dreg, on the left of the fog islands. I got the idea as i'm doing Exile Prince with only using Hive my play through where i don't use any Hive Prince but the one i start with so if they die game over my base with only be hive base with some mods but no wall and the only animals i will use is Foulhounds and Garru what will be tame through combat. greet mod by the way was looking for mods that add move wildlife to the game that where not robot base.

@josuamarques ah i may have found out whats going on after one of my own imports i cant seem to find the Black Hound anymore either but there seems to be a settlement of drug peddelers right next to the lair that wasnt there befor perhapse this is the reason the Black Hound isnt Spawning anymore.

@Daemonic Spoder perhapse the creator of this mod could take a look at it for a fix

@josuamarques its likely that the den got wiped out by something else and the nest just hasnt dissapeared yet, happens all the time with bandits and other such nests

I also tried importing without dead NPC's in case it will respawn but nothing. On the map the den is marked red with a roaming population of 0/0 but a population of ???. I just don't get it.

Jo, I'm confused, I found the Black Hound's Den but without any Black Hound. I imported and reset population but it just doesn't appear. I wandered Vain up and down and never caught sight of that thing. Should it spawn there in the first place or is it eternally roaming Vain at random?

I hope you do, alongside one for the Grievewraiths! As much as I love having to constantly sick them on Orkanites, it'd make it easier to keep more than one alive with a pack to put foul meat in.

I also found out that my base in Vain is ridiculously close to the base of the Black Hound of Vain and that's a massive dog.

Does the patch add in bags for the Foulhounds or nah?

Not really, No chance at all. Just starve them.

Not really, they're not very common creatures to begin with and are quite a handful to keep with that hunger rate. I'd imagine nomads would either try to kill them or flat out avoid them or risk the rest of their animals.

Are they sold by the nomads?

Nope, not really sure how else you could go around recruiting these.
