OP Garchomp has some moves that would absolutely work fine with this Garchomp with a few tweaks and A SIDE SPECIAL THAT CAN CANCEL INTO UP SPECIAL. Go into training and try to recover at around -16 on the grid from below. You can't can you? Not to mention Side Special being extremely exploitable since it ALWAYS goes a set distance from the ledge. It's not like it can go any further into the stage which I feel like would add more to make Garchomp actually a good character.

I want to love this character but... He. Sucks. Seriously. I don't know what other commenters are saying when they say he's "balanced" or "broken," but he is just outright bad. FAir only being 3% and has little to no knockback, Up Special literally not being able to be chained from Side Special and having no diagonal movement makes it very exploitable as a recovery, and the Neutral Special having absolutely no use. 6%, takes wayyyy too long to come out, and long ass cooldown. Really? Not to mention some moves having questionable hitboxes like Back Air. I feel like the OP Garchomp and this Garchomp should somehow reach in the middle to make an actual good version of this character because holy shit.

this garchomp needs a lot of work at first i thought he was cool but the more i play him the more im starting to see a lot of weaknesses and issues with the character and match ups basically sells it short for this character most of his specials are way too weak and punishing, his neutral game is lacking. It feels like a chore to play.

which one we talking about accurate garchomp (op garchomp) or sucky garchomp?

in my rivals group there's a dilemma on if Garchomp is good or not some say he's busted some say he's Balenced [which is my opinion] and some say he's weak

So I haven't seen anything on this move yet. What is the point of neutral B? As far as I can tell it's a low damage, high cooldown, slow moving projectile. The distance is like maybe half stage at best and doesn't have the greatest priority. I did notice the slight height boost it gives, but idk how worth it that is considering garchomps already good recovery. I also noticed that up b seems to be a little inconsistent with hitting most of the hits. I'd hit an enemy with the start up just for them to fall out of it.

There may or may not be one final update coming. Can you guess what I have planned?

enjoy the character but uninstalling due to how busted they are sadly

cool animations and design i just dont like the kit and how he feels weak

i'm honestly not a fan of most of his moves.. the sandstorm is kinda nice and his spin air move is cool. aside from those i just dont rly like him he feels weak to me. very slow especially his dig move which i also dont rly care for either

you should change the first hit of jab so garchomp leans into it more and exaggerate its head size since it just feels kinda weak

This man literally crashed my game

Base moveset and damage dealt is fine but the frame data on this character is terrible. Every attack feels slow, laggy and unsafe although the base speed of the character is fine. The side special needs more options (OP version allows garchomp to jump out of the 'dig' attack, side special) otherwise the move isn't viable and is easy to punish.
You've done a great job on this character and the pro's really do outweigh its con's but this character just gets dumpstered by base-roster and isn't fun at a competitive level because of the reasons listed above.

This is Incredible

It’s been about a year and I’m still liking Garchomp. Although not that fast I really enjoy his moveset. Only real complaint would be down special kinda being a bit too loud but other than that you got a character with cool attacks like his Down and Side Specials and it’s really enjoyable to connect Up Special and getting a sick spike out of it. Hoping you’ve been doing well!

Special Thanks to Vale-X on Discord for pointing out a huge bug to me. I made a quick fix for it just now. Sorry I haven't updated Garchomp or made any new content for the last couple of months, I have a full time job now! lol

the main problem with this is that he's way too slow. he should be about as fast as OP garchomp but still be as balanced as this version in its other aspects.

I really like the the complete character a lot! One thing that would be nice is if you could choose the direction side b comes out. ( Like if you use it to the left then hold right garchomp pops out the attack is to the right) and maybe make neutral b a little better it feels kinda useless.

This is probably my favorite workshop charcter and im glad to see it working so well.
I think the only thing left for them is a minuscle increase in speed.

you really need to decrease the landing lag on him with his aerials and jumps in general, it makes the experience feel not as good to play than it would be

Love the mod, but he is so slow! Isn't he like a fighter jet or something?

for how slow he is, it feels like he can have trouble killing. It might just be jank with other custom characters, but it seemed like some moves just wouldnt kill

"incredible speeds" his damn short hop has lag. in all honestly i really like him but blease make him faster dear god. like im glad he isnt like every other workshop character and stupidly fast but it feels so impossible to hit anything with him

I definitely see some potential, I have some suggestions for moves that were clear place holders.

Down Smash - An Earthquake stomp
Side Special - Dragon Claw: Slash Forward
Up Special - Dragon Rush: Upward burst
Down Special - Sand Tomb: Grab into Tornado

Everything else is top notch, though the Up Smash needs to do some more knock-back and range.
