Actually if you read the entirety of the article Antroid linked below (i.e., footnotes and comments et al) there is a very clear evidential (which may be a word I just made up meaning evidence-full) case that impressive tunnels have been around since before 0 AD and that the Technology is not much an issue, but more like the will to do the job. As to modern day tunnels, well that is really more of an issue of scale, which really does require dynamite, and some professional knowledge of tunnel building. But these tunnels weren't required nor built until the age of the locomotive.

As to the Incans, they didn't really have these cool tunnels, per se, but rather an insane road system that went everywhere, up-over-or-through anything, and accomplished everything an empire would want of a system for transportation, protection and communication. (And it was nearly as large as the entire Roman system that spanned Britain to the Euphrates and all over Europe.) So for our purposes, you can say that ~ Earlier Mountain Tunnels ~ represent the capacity to traverse mountain ranges and move large amounts of peoples and goods through Andes-esque terrain.

Okay, I think I have a pretty good idea as to why the mod update wasn't working before. I'm going to re-upload the updated mod with the correct modid.

That's exactly why it's happening. I had this strange case where the mod wouldn't register *anything*, so I made a new solution and forgot to bring over the old id. Try adding this manually to your My Documents/My Games/Sid Meier's Civilization VI/Mods/ folder: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Hyp2GsB2iEuj8_thQGq-gPDl2fj6jLwx/view?usp=sharing

Sorry for the trouble. If that doesn't work, I'll change the modid of the old mod to the mod id the update used and throw it on Drive for you.

I don't know why it is happening but I think the problem is that the two version don't share the same uuid, because in my save file I have the uuid "4c31ec02-7bbe-4a9f-ba4f-2078c96444df" written while in my mod list it is "c26eb59f-8675-43d0-a160-89781705986b" and my other have corresponding uuid in both

Right now the mod is still using the version from 24 Sep, 2019 @ 4:40pm, which was stable. It's possible your version hasn't reverted for whatever reason. I'd try unsubscribing and resubscribing.

My game won't load either and the load section seems to think the mod is disabled even though it is enable in the mod section

Updated with uniques compatibility (read: I didn't actually change anything. Don't know why it wasn't working before) and the Military Engineer can also be built with the Stable building.

I do love UI, too. Kawad I is my favorite Sassanid leader for that reason, and because I like to use spies on other players lol

amazing, im just looking through all your mods now, i think im gonna try the persia alternate leader. 2 UI is my way to play. I love UI! And the idea of a food 'farm' that has gold and increase food via districts and not other farms is perfect! And I wanted Persian spy bonuses, aka, Iranian spies *cough* lol

I can't produce/buy military engineers as Macedon because of this change : " The Military Engineer now requires the Barracks building (rather than the Armory) "
Barracks are replaced by Basilikoi Paides.

Could you fix this pls ?

Yeah I had in an earlier game a bad spawn : a range of mountain was separating my capital and 2 other cities from the rest of the continent, and I had to navigate with units in waiting for be able to build tunnels :'(

Due to game play I would think having tunnels start in the Medieval Era instead of the Industrial Era would be better. If the mod works so that it makes tunnels in the Classical Era and Military Engineer still couldn't make railroads until the Industrial Era then I am fully on board. :)

@malterunz do some reading about historical tunnels and tunneling. They are not worm holes or magic wands, they are part of our history. This is just US tunnels if not all are from the 20th century but I am sure there are older tunnels in countries that have been around longer. The Chunnel is way beyond these in the US. https://history.stackexchange.com/questions/43731/what-is-the-oldest-road-tunnel-in-the-worldthese Almost all of tunnels are for railroads but then the Military Engineer makes railroads doesn't it? The oldest tunnel easily found with a search was from 300BC. Railroads came later but tunnels are a thing.
