My pleasure! It was not a huge deal, turns out the thing that was holding me back for so long was just a simple file pathing issue, the actual texture work took less than a minute and was done months ago. Glad you enjoy it!

Edit the diffuse.dds file pertaining to his head. Which I have done in the past, trying to get them blue while retaining his white hair and complexion, but some sort of file hijinks ensued and I've never been able to get that much requested change to carry over, even tho it should be really simple.

I'm sure the error in of itself is also simple, but I've been working on other things lately, modding and in real life.

How would I give him eyes if I were going to use this for myself but edited?

If you have any other mods that touch Alith Anar's assets this will happen, such as Shawmuscle's Elven Lords.

is it possible to make a submod/other mod that keeps Alith Anar himself as in the vanilla game.
But changing his illusionary summon into this shadow/wraith looking version? (best of both worlds)

I think it is possible, though I do not know the exact way on how to do it. I'll give it a look one of these days, I think that's a hell of a lot more doable than straight up custom voices.

I really like your mod, it gives Alith Anar much more profile. However, his boyish voice still breaks my immersion. Say, would it be possible to "rewire" his sound files, so that he uses another lords voice?

Yes, I would consider doing that. I agree completely on your assessment, I think the Elves across the board need lighter skin (except for Dark Elves). The only thing that holds me back is that I wish to do something with their eyes at the same time, and I'm not decided if I should go for the black eye route or slightly inhuman eyes, as in the books one human trader called Tyrion 'cat eyes', which I think would be larger pupils and vivid irises.

This is very good and he looks miles better imo. Would you consider making a reskin that redoes the whole faction in the same way? I feel like in vanilla High Elves just look like humans in pointy hats, whereas this mod fixes that completely (albeit only for Alith) by making him more pale and reducing color saturation.

Glad you like it! I did not personally reskin those Shadow Warriors, I did these screenshots with Inquisitor14's White High Elves reskin on. I believe that unit is The Grey RoR with that mod on, in particular.

@GunKing this is awesome man, this is exactly how I picture Alith Anar based on the books and lore in this time period that WH2 is set in. Hats off man, excellent work. Instant Sub. Did you reskin the shadow warriors in the screenshot as well?

I think there is a mod somewhere around that removes his sparkly effect (along with a bunch of other flaming effects), I would mod search that one, think it was done by Inquisitor14. As for the eyeballs, I've been meaning to do a normal eyed version of Alith for a while, it's super simple to do but every time I've tested it out I've run into file conflict issues and I just get vanilla Alith when I load the game up.

So normal eyed Alith, simply said, is on the backburner. When I do get around to him, I'll upload the link to the description of this mod.

Yeah I have actually, seeing as the new portraits have a more illustrated look, it would be an easy thing to do. Once I chase down the backlog of other mod issues right now.

Have you considered tweaking CA's portrait for Alith ? The new one is so good and it'd look great with the white hair.

That link will suffice. I'm definitely interested in that look, but it is a bit beyond me at the moment, as my skill level has not yet advanced to kitbashing models. Still, that is something I will do in the future and I will remember this request.

Can you make a Luthor Harkon reskin that matches his old lore? I hate how CA went with his end times design

finished shadow king the book recently, my dude alith been through some bad ♥♥♥♥....vengeance is his middle name.

I found the conflict; the portraits from Better LL Unit Cards overwrite the ones in this mod. I might try and move them around in the load order and see if that gives this priority.
