sometimes the control panel is damaged or bugged by changed the language...
Signal 1 works for Drill Lasers but its empty by mine. Go to "signal logic" – "configure signal" and look at the old Drill Lasers. The new one need the same configure (and put the new Lasers into the group harvest). After that it works. After save the blueprint and reload the game the name Drill Lasers (Signal 1) in the control panel should/must be back.
As far as I know, there is a weapon limit of 21 more than 21 fired by random activation. Weapons can be configure at the same way, put a new signal for weapons you don´t want.
I hope i could help you with my bad english to use farther this wonderful ship in your game play.
I'm workin on a SV Minning Version of the Kriel Prolong. Same size to fit in the same parking place and can go out mining with 32k Harvestbay.

Offtopic but - Have you ever though of publishing an excel sheet with the blocks available and the angles they are? I know I struggle with finding which blocks are in the same "family" and I think something like that may help.
