Wanna do a mod where you can depose Southern King/Queen and free a caged Princess to replace her with and make a westernized southern hive, can i use?

Once you import your save or start a new game you should be able to find a unique Hiver Princess hanging out at the bar in The Hub named Bugmom! You may also spot them in the wild hanging out in bars, at approximately 1/5th the rate of Hiver Princes. Rare, but not impossible!

Okay, how does this mod even work? Is the Hiver Queen a playable race? A companion? I've read a whole bunch of the comments and I can't figure anything out and the desc doesn't seem to really say. If she's playable then I can't see her as an option in character customisation. People have mentioned the Hub and some of the photos are from the Hub but I can't find her there even...

Does anyone know if there's a patch for Hive cybernetics?

@Bumblechubs I did find her, All she gave out was mercenary bodyguard dialogue. I wonder if it's one of the compat patches that messed with her dialogue. Most mods I have are stuff like Hiver expanded or cute hive

@Lucato_ She should be recruitable! Some mods that change the Hub can mess with her spawning, or it's possible she died off-screen if there are nasty things killing off the inhabitants of the city. She's wearing Armoured Rags and has a heavy weapon, to help eye her out in a crowd.

Couldn't find a Princess anywhere haaaaaah. I thought Bugmom was going to be a recruitable companion but guess not

@Bumblechubs: hey random question, any chance you could put the Hive Princess mod's head on this body? :o I know that would require the authors aproval, just the head is cute, but I prefer the regular looking hive body.

@BonBon~Sensei Hi! I know this is a little late, but it turns out Seelenschwarz (who did the awesome Advanced Character Creation mod) whipped up a Dead Hive and a South Hive variant a long time ago. I only became aware of them recently! I have the patch listed in the description.

@Malkavian American Unfortunately it's not something I'm capable of doing. Technically she shouldn't be able to wear gas masks at all probably.

@BonBon~Sensei I can work on it, but I haven't been feeling up to much the last month or so. If I get Kenshi vibes again I'll give it a shot!

Any patches exist that fix the thing where gas masks are for whatever reason low on her face? i wanna steal that special gas mask from that 1 noble bitch and put it on her without it looking terrible.

Any chance that you'll include a "clean" version of a Fog Queen and Southern Hive Queen? Or a "clean" Dark Hive Queen?

Great mod, the mouth gives me nightmares but that's not the mods fault.

@Grabbles Hm, maybe I used the wrong dialogue for her. She shouldn't be charging cats constantly. I'll take a peek later when I'm feeling better.

I think it's kinda funny though, a bunch of hiveless hivers kidnapping a sterile queen to lead them

Yeah I'm thinking the mercenary dialogue is what makes it work

Bugmom was a mercenary but I didn't want to keep paying for her so I just beat the shit out of her and dragged her back to my base and recruited her via recruitable prisoners and got her for free

@fl9d I hope you have fun with it! Early game is my favorite, I habitually start over way more than I should haha. If you run into any problems with my mod or the compatibility patches let me know and I'll try to fix it if it's in my capabilities. Oh, and any balance feedback is greatly appreciated too!

@fl9d I'll give it a try! Way back when I first tinkered with this I couldn't figure out how the crafting animations were added, but I think I know enough now to give it another go. :)

@ПΛПО Dragoon Whatever they want to be, I suppose! I don't really see many hivers really talk about it, except Beep's hilarious dialogue about human females... and he's completely at a loss at what they're supposed to look like. Then again, they don't really have parents. There's the queens that seem to be mostly insane screechmonsters and the dispenser unit hooked into them that produces the hivers. 'Screecher' and 'Drone' could be their genders. Who knows! Maybe Kenshi 2 will get us some more hiver lore. I sure hope at least.

If they are Genderless then what are princes?....maybe I shouldn't ask here, but i'm just curious.

@Grabbles Sort of kind of. Hivers are strange, quasi-genderless bug people. Possibly created asexually from the Queen's dispenser machine. I wanted to include a way to build your own dispenser but the engine doesn't seem to support it.

@Kosmo I changed the mod a bit but I keep accidentally reverting it! There's a unique Princess at The Hub, and Princesses have a low [1/5th the rate of Princes] chance of spawning in bars.

Is the race only available as a starting race? Or is there a wild Princess out in the wilds I can recruit?

@Anti-Unfriendly If another mod added armor or clothing chances are that it'll be enabled on the Princess by default, unless it's a foot slot thing. It's up to you if you want to use mod shirts on her that aren't normally available for hivers; I already feel bad spamming the workshop with compatibility patches, but Steam keeps reverting the description...

Thats nice to hear. the shirt was just some white vest, but it might have been a colored one from Genmod

@Anti-Unfriendly She can wear all the Hive Expansion armor! Though the helmets will clip like crazy. Also, huh, what shirt was it? I tried to lock all the shirt-slot stuff except Hiver vests, and I think Martial Arts bindings too.

I wasn't sure if they would conflict or not. I stuck with Military Craft because of its steady progression... but, if I'm being honest, it makes combat go by VERY fast.
