@Red Purger There is a Necron technology mod out there right now that can give you that kind of feel, to a degree.

The portraits are now broken due to the Machine Age update. I had another portrait pack break this way, and I'm guessing the cause is the same.

The culprit is that portraits for species are now assigned through common/portrait_sets and common/portrait_categories, and not species_classes

Now if only there was a mod for this game that adds Necrons as a faction. Every time I see the "Living Metal" resources in the game I instantly think about the C'tan and how amazing it would be to be able to build a C'tan ship or something and just have a huge Nightbringer flying around in space destroying planets like a Colossus.

After significant internal cogitation and digital patience (chiefly the Nemesis release) I have decided to update this mod. Please be patient, constructing additional pylons.

In fact, you should make a separate entry for those who want to run Destroyer cults, and another for those who want to use flayer legions.

There's hardly any proper animated portraits at all, if you made a proper Necron one it would probably be near as big a deal as the machine shipset that came-out recently. Metal bois have been oppressed for too long.

You should consider replacing the white outline on the portraits with a black one and then blurring it. As it is now, the white outline is a bit jarring.

Static for now, don't got the tools to make animated. We'll see what ohhhh.......December brings. Might be able to animate them then.

Yea, I noticed how most of the portrait packs were just tiptoeing around synthetic dawn when there is a perfectly good tutorial for it. Next thing I'm going to work on is different pictures for admirals, scientists, pops, etc...

Muuuch better than the previous one. Also, I love how it actually works with synthetic dawn! that actually, y'know, MAKES SENSE. xP
