Someone maybe stole your content and added it to their mod

Black nomad pants cannot be crafted. I have researched the recipe and I have another blueprint for it - it says research already know, but I still cannot craft it.

Any chance you will fix the black nomad pants so they're craft able? I know modding can be headache inducing and time consuming but the shinobies don't tend to have specialist and mastergrade armor

Hi! I am the developer of the Second Life of Kenshi mod, can I include your mods in my modpack?

The blueprint for the black nomad pants can be purchased from Shinobi Thieves but cannot be crafted at any station. I think you forgot to add it to the clothing table. Outside of that it's a great mod.

Sometimes when I equip them in some it changes color and other times I buy them new and they do not change (I have a character in a cage to change the color of the clothes, and only some pants change color)

To everyone asking about black variation: they are not currently available for manufacturing. Here's the quickest, easiest way to change that.

PART 1: Getting the mod file into the correction location to enable changes.

1. Go to the Kenshi page in your Steam Library, click on the gear icon on far right, and go to manage > browse local files.

2. You should now have all the Kenshi game files in front of you. I’d recommend not poking around too much. Make sure to take note of the folder labelled “mods”. We’ll be coming back to it very soon.

PART 1 (cont.):

3. In the file path above the folder, go to steamapps > workshop > content > 233860 > 1835921564. Take this folder and drag it to your desktop, another folder, whatever.

4. Navigate back to your Kenshi files (easiest way is by repeating step 1).

5. Put 1835921564 in the “mods” folder. To get the FCS to register the mod, you have to make sure the name of the folder containing the mod is the exact same as the name of the mod file itself. In this case, you have to change the folder name to “Nomad Pants”.

PART 2: Navigating the FCS.

1. Click Play on Kenshi and select Launch modding tool . You’ll see four files in the top white box (“gamedata” to “rebirth”). Together they form the base game. Don’t touch them. Seriously, don't.

2. “Nomad Pants.mod” should be visible in the lower white box. If it's not, you probably did not name it correctly. Select it and only it. If you need this guide, it’ll probably be the only mod in the lower box. When “Nomad Pants.mod” and the top 4 game files are the only mods checked, click done.

3. Now you’re inside the FCS itself. In the top menu bar, click on the icon/text for Change .

4. Scroll down to Clothing Manufacture . This is the research that enables the most basic types of, you guessed it, clothing in the game, including the regular Nomad Pants.

PART 2 (cont.):

5. Clicking the box in the top right that says blueprint item will open up a list. Select enable armour and click the Add button . Either scroll or type to find "Nomad Pants (black)" and click the OK button. You will now unlock both the regular Nomad Pants and the black variation at the same time. We’re not done yet, though.

6. Close the window you were just working in, go back to Changes, and click on clothing bench . Open up the list in the top right corner again, find armour crafts , select "Nomad Pants (black)", and click Ok . Now the Clothing Bench will be able to make them.

7. Finally, click the blue floppy disk icon in the top left corner of the menu bar at the very top of the FCS, then exit. Make sure to select Nomad Pants in your mod list and you should be good to go.

CONCLUSION:

My guess is that this change will not require an import to take effect because you’re not actually adding or subtracting anything from the game. Test it out before importing. If you want to make a blueprint for the black Nomad Pants and have it be sold by thief fences, in the Mongrel armour shop, or make it so that it can only appear in the inventory of the Meat Lord, I suggest you find another, more in-depth tutorial. Quickest, easiest way, baby.

I posted this in large part to encourage people to learn how to use the FCS. All things considered, it’s not difficult to learn, and it greatly increases what you can do in Kenshi. There are many great tutorials on Youtube and other places on the internet.

I do hope you update this mod to fix the clipping.

Such a shame as they are were perfect for one of my sneaking/stealth ninjas in my team, but they clip horrible on the butt cheeks when sneaking :(

You need to add a few more polygons to the butt area for the female version and/or adjust the Vertex Weights so you don't get that ugly clipping when ever they crouch.

Black nomad pants don't appear in the crafting section even after purchasing the blueprint.

@Isaac Hipkiss It's a random chance, you can open the mod in FCS and increase the chance it'll spawn to make it more likely

I have gotten in like once in a millenia, the chances are pitiful.

I love these.

Yep, i can confirm that these models are great and 100% in-lore. Images don't really do them justice, as they may seem flat and undetailed, but instead it's the exact opposite, with the right amount of detail that don't make them appear like they come from another game. The pants also have a kind-of-but-not-quite "arabic" vibe that perfectly fits the lore, even if (small complaint) you made them available almost everywhere! Now even dust bandits wear them, and those ignorant troglodytes don't deserve such style!

Are you able to add a version without the sides opening up?

The 2 mods that I've seen so far are absolutely gorgeous! Thanks for the lovely additions to this game. I really appreciate how well the texture fits the world of Kenshi!!

I appreciate the response you seem to be a decent modder. You respond so well to a possible troll I will keep this in mind I know that there is a weight stat you could drop that or even reduce the size in the inventory slots when it is packed away :) keep modding my friend

I added the sandstorm buff (as well as the others) to mark them out as light, desert wear more than anything. They're just samurai pants with less coverage otherwise.

bonus to sandstorm... you do know they'd be carrying bags of sand in that thing after the sandstorm hit? sounds like its another pair of unbalanced super pants like in the 70s with MC mamma jammas.... I think we should make that actually +800 to sidestep

@masterofthemultiverses most Holy Nation, Nomads and some drifters will have a chance to spawn with these instead of their default pants.

Which NPCs will make use of them? Nomads or others as well? Looks pretty good - nice work.
